โ๏ธ We have take-off! So happy to be able to say there are two(!) new maps to queue right now in Wingman mode!
@CounterStrike
A massive congratulations to everyone who has contributed to the update and thank you again to the rest of the Assembly team.
My Boyard map coin arrived last night! I am still eternally greatful to
@CSGO
for including maps I have worked on over the last two years. Now hoping to make it seven someday...
Some really great deals to be had on flights with AirAlmas right now - they must have almost finished assembling their new fleet of aircraft.
Fancy going on a trip this week?

๐Introducing Whistle - a brand new wingman map for
@CounterStrike

Thank you to
@SethTooQuick
for all your hard work on getting this map released! Workshop link below if you'd like to check it out for yourselfโฌ๏ธ
Two new levels I worked on have been added to
@CSGO
in today's update! Unfortunatly we say goodbye to Ravine but I can't wait to see you all on Vineyard and Crete. Thanks to the whole Vineyard team, and to Valve for selecting the maps.
Six years of mapping and I have finally achieved what I always dreamed of doing. A massive thank you to the entire Frostbite team and the wider CS mapping community; I owe it to all of you.
We recently updated the lighting on Palais alongside other improvements thanks to your feedback! Check it out for yourself on the workshop below โฌ๏ธ
Pitstop is now officially avaliable in
@CSGO
for the wingman gamemode! It really is amazing to see so many people playing and enjoying it! I want to take a minute to thank everyone who helped create Pitstop.
@JimWoodUK
@CounterStrike
Yet these maps accounted for <5% of total matches in GO.
I'll always advocate for a broader pool, especially as two of the maps on the list I contributed to, but there is no reason to rush them out as the demand is low. Some of these leaked so I'm sure they'll come when ready.
I created my first CS sticker this weekend as a submission for the CS10 contest!
The sticker aims to celebrate 10 years of the Steam Workshop for
@CSGO
I'd love to hear any thoughts on the design and would appreciate your rating on the workshop page:
It's that time of the year again! Starting off with some screenshots from a project I've been working on with my good friend
@maximepoutiline
. I wanted to try a more ambitious Wingman layout for
@CSGO
across the rooftops of Paris utilising several height changes.
#Blocktober
Thank you
@CounterStrike
for letting me be a very small part of CS:GO and thank you also to everyone who supported community maps over the last 10 years.
This may be the end for Global Offensive but Counter-Strike has a bright future ahead!
Always find it hilarious how angry people get about updates which actually affect the gameplay rather than simply adding more ways to lose money on expensive virtual items.
๐ขI'd like to make it clear that you shouldn't read anything into my recent tweets.
I'm simply having fun with building interest in community maps that usually come second to skins. It's been great seeing so many people talking about all the great community workshop content! ๐
@thexpaw
Happy for these guys but this is not what your average mapper makes before everyone jumps to conclusions.
Hoping they have however laid the path for other community maps to follow for longer term inclusion!
@ZooL_Smith
Floor height variation is a crucial tool in making maps interesting. It is of course a balance and certain players will always prefer everything to be as streamlined as possible but ultimately, variety is what makes maps interesting and allows real skill to shine.
@UEAKCrash
Wish we had a similar system in Counter-Strike. For all it's shortcomings, TF2 supports community content better than almost any other game.
Next up for
#Blocktober
is a look behind the scenes at the map Terraformer from
@PlayMarauders
! I had a lot of fun with this one - most of the games levels take place in enclosed spaces so this level presented a new challenge in designing longer range engagements.
Throwback to the early development of Crete today for
#Blocktober
Originally a
@CSGO
Demolition map, it has since become a suprisingly popular Wingman level.
The central chicken coop makes a special appearance on another map, do you know which?
So thankful to every player who has supported
@PlayMarauders
throughout the closed tests and into Early Access!
There's so much more cool stuff coming for the game begining with the QOL patch next week!
It's almost
@BlocktoberLD
right?
Here's a little scene that I've been working on this week. Maybe I'll make it into a wingman map or something, who knows. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
๐บ๏ธThis month I started a new role in Amsterdam as a Level Designer PUBG Studios!
๐ณ๐ฑ I've loved living in a new city so far and am enjoying working alongside some very talented people in studio for the first time.
I can't wait to be able to talk about the project in the future๐
I'm proud today to announce the release of mine and Quadratic's entry to the

Exotic Map Contest!
After months of work, Ivory is ready to download and play. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way and good luck to all other contestants!
Assembly has come a long way since the initial concepts in 2020! I have been nothing but impressed by the fantastic work of Almaas and the rest of the crew in pushing the boundaries of the theme with CS2. Make sure to give it a try and leave us a like if you enjoy!
โ๏ธ Oh hey, it's that time again where I show what I've been working on for the last few months! โ๏ธ

The Danger Zone experiment returns to the sun-soaked hills of southern Italy. Between scenic towns and ancient ruins, fight to survive and be the last man standing.
Vineyard is out now:
Changing tides bring new opportunities! Today
@CSGO
says goodbye to Pitstop making way for Ravine!
A massive thank you to
@jd_40
for working with me on this map. Play now in the Wingman gamemode as part of Operation Rip Tide! ๐ฆ๐
@ZooL_Smith
I think this is a classic case of being good at playing games doesn't mean you are automatically good at making them. Very different skill sets.
Over the last 10 years, countless times we've seen initial pushback to change turn to acceptance and eventually appreciation. 1/2
Here's another old Wingman layout for
#blockstober
I created this Wingman layout with
@Huvaligen1
featuring an experimental rotating spawns system. It was a cool concept but hard to balance and a lot of extra work!
Palais is back and better than ever for

๐จ Maxime has done an incredible job with so many details to explore - make sure to check it out for yourself and leave any feedback on the workshop page!
Memento has released and it looks absolutely stunning! There is a bright future for Counter-Strike mapping with creators like these releasing such high quality levels. Congrats to the entire team.
@gabefollower
While it's probably not to be encouraged, it is at no point mentioned that you should not share that you're map is being added to the game. "Strictly prohibited" is definitely wrong.

Please, share the new SDK with the mappers in the next beta update! We have more hours spent in Hammer than in CSGO anyway ...
Absolutely disgraceful scenes at PGL Copenhagen. It's long been overdue cleaning house on these gambling sites. They do nothing but bring the game into disrepute.
After 3 months of work, our entry to the /r/csmapmakers 2018 Wingman Contest is complete! Thanks to everyone who let us use their assets and helped test along the way.

A whole new game with new mechanics and map reamkes? Nah, what players actually want is new ways to gamble money!
It's sad we are at the point where people see CS as an investment vehicle above a game to enjoy playing.
There are others tabs than the inventory one๐
@dupreeh
@AstralisCS
Any chance of providing actual constructive criticsm or is it easier to dismiss anything new as bad?
Community figures making tweets like this doesn't result in better maps.

Step into the dieselpunk setting of Marauders for some solo or up to four-player PvE and PvP space-pirate looter-shooter action in this new FPS. First trailer and details:
@AntonHand
As someone who has spent the best part of a decade making maps for CS, I think this is a bit of a dramatic take.
CS2 is an evolution and an investment in the games future health. Porting tools exist and maps made for GO can be played on the legacy branch.
I've been playing a lot of
@reachthefinals

I find myself constantly amazed at all of these tiny things which combine into a great experience. Hats off to everyone at

CS existed long before skins and would continue long after. Anyone who wouldn't play the game without shiny cosmetic items isn't a massive loss.
I make maps for free which can be enjoyed by the community regardless of if a digital sticker is worth 100k or 3 cents.
