We will be bringing back last years April fools event for tomorrow.
For those unfamiliar: normal stages will be replaced with formerly tournament-legal stages.
MMR matching will be loosened and MMR will not update during the event.
9 AM to 7 AM next day (Eastern Time).
We will again be running our recurring wacky stages event on April 1st this year!
Event starts at 9 AM ET on the 1st and ends at 7 AM ET on the 2nd.
Ranked and direct will be untouched, the event only applies to unranked. Relax and have a laugh 🐸
Once we finish some other priorities, we definitely want to deeply integrate Slippi stats into .
In the meantime though, some community members are doing some cool things with our open source libraries. See replies.
Did you know you could easily share your replays from directly in the Slippi Launcher?
Just drag the game into Discord!
It even works with multi-select.
Slippi Feature Showcase - Resync
We do our best to prevent all desyncs but in the unlikely scenario one happens, Slippi has resync logic allowing the game to recover from the issue.
Voting might be over but there are still 14 days left to purchase a limited edition Slippi hat.
A portion of proceeds from this hat go towards supporting Slippi. Get it before it's gone!
Exciting to see the envelope being pushed with respect to stats using Slippi replays.
Hope this can lead to players better understanding their game and where they might need to improve.
Cool work

The new strategy will be:⚒️brute force it⚒️
I need help from anyone that has a Wii they can run continuously. Please join Discord if you're willing to contribute!
We seem to be having issues with Avast, AVG, and maybe others at the moment.
If you're getting "EPERM: operation not permitted" errors or any other strange errors and are using an antivirus similar to the above, either uninstall the antivirus or add Slippi folders to exceptions.
There has been some recent discussion about l-cancel success rates at the highest level.
Here is a video that shows off what some of the missed l-cancels from the dataset look like.
Additionally this is also why when watching Slippi streams, the game does something "weird" or "impossible".
In the left video, nothing "weird" happens, but the game is completely lost.
In the right video, we get some weirdness for a bit, but then we're back on track quickly.
Slippi services should be back online.
Going to be monitoring things still to make sure everything looks like it's working.
We did a database migration so if you notice any new issues with loading or saving data, please post about it in our Discord.
@CrimsonPixeI
There are a lot of barriers that make that quite difficult, esp on iPhone. At the very least watching preview versions of games like you can on will hopefully be easier in the future.
@eL_SSBM
Which files are off? Netplay replays should play back mostly correctly, especially if they're played on r18. Desyncs should be very very rare.
