Please do not take your covenants for granted. I can guarantee, as someone that’s just returned to church, that there’s nothing that the world has to offer that is worth abandoning your covenants for. I left the church before my wife and I were sealed in the temple. We are

There’s an influx of new members happening throughout the church. I’d add that many are returning after being inactive or removing their name. I experienced all the world had to offer and removed my name from the church. The world has nothing to offer compared to the Gospel of

Getting a quick neighborhood walk while it’s halftime of the Arkansas vs Texas A&M game. Fresh air is a great way to celebrate the BYU win!! #wps #BYU

Really loving this talk by Elder Kearon. The church truly is the church of joy. My life had taken a dark turn when I removed my name. I was filled with a hatred of religion and I was so arrogant and prideful. Being yoked again to Christ’s church has taught me the definition of a

I’d like to issue a challenge to anyone that thinks Joseph Smith simply wrote the Book of Mormon, not translated it. I challenge you to write a book of similar length with characters, geographical descriptions, cities/lands, genealogies, deep religious doctrine, etc without a

Since I returned to the church I’ve been talking about this joy that Christ offers vs the “happiness” of the world… now, Elder Uchtdorf is speaking on this very thing. Very eloquently, I might add. I can testify that the world offers temporary pleasure, but only last joy comes

I’m working on reading through the Book of Mormon again and I was struck by this verse. I’m reading it in a new light now that I’ve returned to the church after having my name removed from the rolls. Alma the younger’s testimony is so relatable now. “My soul hath been redeemed

My wife has a brother that’s incarcerated. We’ve corresponded with him here and there with letters. The last letter that he sent us, he discussed being interested in reading the Bible and changing his life. A few days ago, my wife and I got such a strong testimony to write him

Why I joined, left, and rejoined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I wanted to make a concise video. I haven’t made a video since my Ward Radio episode and really wanted to share more details. Thank you all for your support. #LDSx #99plus1

Next week will be my first talk since returning the church 😬 the subject is the atonement. I really don’t want to write a speech and read it verbatim. I’m thinking of making bullet points and going more in depth in my own words. Also, tying in some scripture and quotes. I’d love

It seems foolish for a shepherd to leave 99 sheep to find 1… until you’re that 1. I’m so thankful to be back in the fold. Thanks to everyone for reaching out and encouraging me as I’ve made my return. Let’s heed the prophet’s words and invite all to come back to Christ and His

I am soon approaching my 100th birthday. One of the places where the Savior used the number 100 in the scriptures was the parable of the lost sheep. Though 99 of his flock were safely by his side, the shepherd went in search of the 1 who was lost. At age 99, I have no need of
