On April 18, 2024 around 7:05 am, a mountain lion was in a tree off Kinghorn Rd. Officers from Pocatello Police responded and contained the area, it was tranquilized and secured by Fish and Game around 8:32 am. It will be relocated in the mountains outside of the Pocatello area.

Six new officers were sworn in today at PPD. We also recognized two new civilian employees. Officer Cartwright received the IVWA (Idaho Victim Witness Association) Service Award. Sgt. Matson also was recognized for obtaining his Supervisor Certificate. Congrats to all!
