Brian Spicka will step aside as boys basketball coach to become the Assistant Activities Director for Pius X High School, replacing Jake Moore. The new boys basketball coach will be Adam Brill ’04, current assistant coach.

The Pius 10 are seniors! During the 2002-03 school year, Pius X had 10 babies born to faculty/staff ... all boys! Here's the picture taken 17 years ago, and another one taken recently. All but one parent continues to teach or coach at Pius and all 10 boys will graduate in May.
Back-to-back state champion Nicole ‘CoCo’ Kolbas! The Pius X junior won her second straight Class A individual golf title, this year winning by 6 strokes! The team finished fifth in the state, too!

Tim Aylward, the school’s athletic director, and Jan Frayser, the Director of Guidance, will both retire at the end of the 2019-20 school year. School Principal Tom Korta made the announcement at an all-school Mass on Monday.

Bill Rice will retire from coaching the Pius X High School girls basketball team after 19 years as head coach. Rice finishes his career with a 283-129 record, including 18 winning seasons.

Jamie Reed has been selected as the new head softball coach at Pius X High School. Reed has been an assistant coach for nine years, and played softball at Pius X, graduating in 2009.

This was a first for Pius X ... a Senior Sunrise! About 130 members of the Class of 2020 showed up at Aldrich Field bright and early this morning to talk, sing, play games, laugh, and just enjoy each other’s company. Their senior year begins in two days!

Sophomore Reece Grosserode jumped into the school record books yesterday with a 47'-10" effort in the triple jump, and in doing so joined two other generations of his family!

Tabitha Rose Heftie loved school and was active in choir and the Godteen program. She had planned to major in nursing, and served as an artist mentor for the Penguin Project at the Lincoln Community Playhouse.

Pius X High School has announced Ryan Psota as its new head coach for girls basketball. Psota has been an assistant for the girls team for 18 years, the last 16 as a varsity assistant coach for Bill Rice, who retired as head coach after this past season.
