@CheckYourBulk I think it's game state dependent! If they're just saying "don't kill my bomb or I'll scoop" then they're being immature but if they're saying "one more board wipe functionally ends the game for me" then they're just being honest. The way the player presents this is also key

To my knowledge, nothing's stopping cEDH tournament organizers from getting together and developing their own tournament banlist. The insistence on needing the RC to support and echo that banlist feels like its more about wanting recognition than the health of their meta.

(non mechanically) I love Abzan being like a sort of morbid Selesnya, rather than being focused on rot (golgari) or ambition (Orzhov) it acknowledges death as a part of life. Celebrating the dead by singing their songs to the living. Extremely cool take on the colors.

Sol Ring takes all the flak, but let's not forget Command Tower is literally the best mana fixing land ever printed for Commander purposes. This is the real culprit that always shortens our lists from "100" to "99".

I've been dwelling on the fact that Sheldon, one of the most influential people in EDH, was also someone who made as much time as he could for the folks who could do nothing for him. He'd put his turn on hold during a win if it meant making someone's day with a signature or pic.
