I can’t wait any longer to share the news that I’m a granny and Mr B is grandad!!! Our granddaughter arrived almost two weeks early yesterday evening and I’ll share pics when I’ve spoken to her mummy and daddy. But we’re ecstatic!!! For now here’s a cute kitten!

My daughter has her first paper in The Lancet today (together with her incredible colleagues.) It's about the results of their coronavirus DNA tracking efforts and helped their region and a hospital trace and control infections. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a bit proud.

I'm not religious but can we have a shout-out for all the ministers who must be feeling the strain, despite their faith. The vicar at my auntie's funeral today (she had dementia) stood in the cold and rain, making a very grim occasion dignified and personal. I really salute him.
