Had a vfib arrest come to my shop. Treated hyperk and STEMI on EKG. Cards didn’t take to cath so I urge team to give Tpa now it they believe it’s a STEMI. Gave it and 24 hour later went to cath with RCA occlusion. Today he’s getting ready to walk out the hospital. #pharmsohard

Phorcas is ripping off our students and residents with this major glitch they’ve had. I’ve had many candidates reach out since phorcas is telling them “idk what happen have the program email use”. If a candidate doesn’t have all the info in the app, it may not be there fault.

Almost wish this was an actual trial comparing the two agents versus cherry picking to find a group of patients from two different trials and doing statistical gymnastics. Someone please do a real intervention vs comparison trial with a patient centered primary outcome. #twitteRx

Here's a HUGE paper showing a 60% relative reduction in DOAC-related #ICH growth in patients treated with Andexxa vs usual care (the 4F-PCC Kcentra). if I'm bleeding in my brain while on a DOAC please -- give me rational therapy with andexanet alfa.

Hypertonic Bicarb is trash in cardiac arrest (routine use and not tox), hyperkalemia, and DKA. It’s done for reasons that can’t be explained by an abundance in data and emotion-based medicine.

Getting on social media and seeing some of the comments the lay public and politicians have about COVID and the treatments is really disheartening. We should put them in the ICUs to manage the patients since it doesn’t take any training at all when you have a doctorate of Google.

I had a patient walk out of the hospital with good neurological outcome after cardiac arrest 2/2 STEMI that I was significantly involved in that I’ll never get over. I get one of those a year and it drives me every to #pharmsohard
