Students and staff were very excited to welcome Buddy, and his owner Lucy Owen, to the school today! Buddy has trained as a Pets as Therapy dog, and will be supporting some of our readers next term. He certainly proved popular!

Thanks to the brilliant @BridgendCBC staff & schools that volunteered to set up the 6 new emergency childcare centres. Just 72 hours notice. The team of volunteers worked day and night over the weekend. The centres are open this morning for 738 children.

Well done everyone, we made it to half term! Fri 23rd is an INSET day (no pupils). Yrs 7 & 8, and our MLD pupils will return on 2nd Nov. Yrs 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13 will have remote learning from 2nd Nov, returning to school 9th Nov (excepting pupils attending to sit exams).

Our ICT Manager, Mr Spear, has been taking part in a virtual Land's End to John O'Groats run since March-that's 874 miles! Today Yr8 put in a fab effort, and joined him for his final mile...plus a few extra! Great to see pupils giving it their all, running, jogging, or walking!

The sxho site currently has no electricity. In the interests of healthy and safety, safeguarding, and our inability to provide catering services, the school will be closing at 1pm. Buses will also be collecting pupils at 1pm.

Online learning follows the normal school day, both in terms of timetabled lessons, and times of the day! Most teachers will tend to post work around the start time of their lesson, not necessarily first thing in the morning. See the image below to see when lessons start and end.
