Happy to announce I have lost 8 inches on my waist! When I started in February I was 71 inches and today I am 63 inches!!!

When I was younger I always prayed that life would became easier and that I would find the motivation to work on my physical and mental health.
Well I decided instead of praying for the future I would bring the future to me!

When I started working out Arnoldโs were a challenge for me 20 pounds was the highest I could go on this lift.
A couple months later and here I am lifting 35 pounds!

Today is a great day because I am one step closer to my goal of 377 I havenโt weighed that since I was a sophomore in high school!
Whatโs even crazier is it wasnโt to long ago I was close to hitting 399 man itโs been a great journey but we are just getting started!!!
Todayโs workout has shown me how far Iโve really come on my journey.
When I started working out I couldnโt do any of these movements in this video. In fact I couldnโt even fit on one of these machines.
While Iโm not as perfect as Iโd like Iโm damn proud of how far Iโve come!
Last night was a very special night for me.
Not only did I beat my mile record but I also beat my box jump record.
My old record was four boxes and last night I pushed myself to achieve 5 boxes!
Never be afraid to fail because success is right around the corner!

When I started box jumps I was having trouble even jumping on 3 boxes but today I decided to push myself and I beat my record by having 4 boxes!

Today I tried out a workout movement Iโve wanted to try for a while.
I was nervous about this movement because I was worried I wouldnโt be able to accomplish it.
But like I said never let fear hold you back.
You get one opportunity in life donโt waste it.

Tonight I got my second workout of the day in!
I will succeed and I will not let up the pressure. By 2021 I will be a new man and then from every year on I will improve and always push myself to be better then I was before.

When I started working out at 451 pounds in February 2019 I knew I wouldnโt let myself fail! My lowest weight was 371
10 months later I hit a huge setback in December and January that caused me to go back to 410.
I could have stopped but I didnโt! I have fought back to the 380s

Today I hit 399 pounds thatโs 52 pounds lost since February 8th!
It is the most amazing feeling to hit the first milestone I set for myself!
All it takes to lose weight is dedication, hard work, and a healthy diet!
You can accomplish anything!!!

Tonight I walked 5 miles around my house and here I am getting a workout in!
You donโt get the life you want by sitting there and waiting for it!

In life we usually have multiple things going on in our head whether itโs good or bad.
The secret to being successful in whatever you are doing is to focus on one thing that pushes you and focus on your task!

Tonight is my 2nd workout of the night.
When I started working out if you told me I would be working out twice a day I would say yeah right.
We are all capable of achieving the impossible.

When I started losing my weight I could only barbell curl a 40 pound bar and that was tough for me. Here I am curling 70 pounds!

Me and the fam got some bad news but today is a new day and we are going to make it the best day!
So instead of sulking the whole day I pushed my ass to start meal prepping and got my ass in the gym!
When I started losing weight I weighed 451 pounds.
I decided to change my life around and I lost 80 pounds to become 371.
Life then hit me pretty hard and unfortunately I went back to 410.
But I got back to work!
Finally 6 months later Iโm officially my lowest weight 370!
When you start a journey or anything in life you really want to achieve you must stay committed.
When you start you may not have anyone that believes in you and you may not believe in yourself.
I never thought I could lose weight but now Iโm down over 70 LBS!

Iโve had many great days and many bad days but Iโm still here. I accomplished so much and I know I could have accomplished more so this year Iโm going all out and thereโs no chance in hell I ever give up!

It was the hardest thing Iโve ever done but I achieved 6 consecutive miles! It took me about 2 hours but I did it!!!

Today I decided to push myself on my workout because I was getting too comfortable with my box step ups!
I was doing my step ups with a 20 pound med ball but today we moved up to a 35 pound plate!
My goal is to always improve and we just did!

Tonight was a great workout and I pushed myself to the extreme.
In life if you ainโt pushing to be your best you arenโt truly living.
For years I didnt have this mindset and I didnโt truly live life but I will not waste anymore of my life and I will become the best me possible!

Tonight during cardio my mom accomplished a goal sheโs had for a long time. Today she was able to get 1 mile in under 30 minutes without her knees hurting! She has improved so much in so little time Iโm so proud of her keep working hard mom ๐๐ป๐๐ป

So less then a week ago my goal was to walk 5 miles all at once. The most I had accomplished was 3 miles.
I ended up not accomplishing that goal but I told myself next week your gonna crush that goal!
Well today I walked 5 MILES outside in the Vegas Heat!!!

Roadblocks are only temporary. Recently Iโve been sidelined with the flu.
The difference between 2018 Paul and 2019 Paul is that I would have made excuses to keep myself sidelined but itโs a good thing we donโt live in 2018.

I used to use my greatest pain from failed accomplishments and disappointment to pity myself.
It was when I started using my greatest pain as motivation then that is when I truly started to live.
Today I accomplished a new box jump record! 6 boxes!

Since this pandemic my anxiety & depression has sky rocketed which is rough because the one place Iโve used to deal with everything was the gym which is closed due to whatโs going on!
I wonโt give up on my weight loss goals or myself though no matter what the world throws at me!
I used to think it was all about how much weight you could lift that made you successful in the weight room but the truth is itโs all about improvements you make while doing correct form!
Always remember that your at the gym to improve yourself never worry about anyone else!
Itโs almost been 5 months since I started my journey to better my health both physically and mentally and Iโll tell you what itโs the best decision I ever made! I never thought I could do it but here I am still accomplishing my goals!

I just completed 2 of my 3 miles for the day and the 3rd I will be doing at the gym with my upper body workout!
Yesterday wasnโt a great day I struggled with eating and working out but thatโs ok cause today was great!

My goal for the day was 2 workouts and 4 miles and I absolutely crushed it!
When I started I had trouble even pushing myself to get to the gym once a day let alone twice!

So far March has had a couple ups and downs!
I killed it on my weigh in but Iโve recently been dealing with some anxiety which is tough.
Instead of letting the anxiety take over Iโm pushing my ass to get in the gym!
Because of that I achieved my new PR on this lift! 80 LBS!
Tonight my goal was to beat my mile time which is 15:36 and I was very close but I came in at 15:46.
But Tonight I successfully jogged two laps without stopping or walking.

When I started my journey back on Feb 8th when I weighed 451 pounds I wanted to find a way to challenge myself because If I was comfortable I wasnโt working hard enough!
Now at 411 DDP Yoga has helped challenge me even more!
With everything thatโs been happening in the world and my personal life itโs been hard to keep myself motivated.

I really pushed myself to the limit to accomplish my goals and while I wasnโt able to accomplish 3 miles and a upper body workout I got 2 miles and a upper body workout and worked my ass off!

This Quarantine is the biggest roadblock Iโve ever faced in my weight loss journey and it set me off track for a few days but I came back with a battle plan and now Iโm killing these home workouts!
This isnโt the first or last roadblock I will face!
In the past whenever I made mistakes I would let them get me down and I would feel bad for myself.
The truth is itโs not always about you and you have to get over yourself and get back on your grind!

Commitment is the key to life!
For any goal in life or whatever dream you are chasing you have to be committed.
If you give up after one failed attempt or when something doesnโt go your way then you arenโt committed.
In order to achieve success you must prove your commitment
Today I attempted push ups for the first time in years.
No they are not perfect but they will become better the more I progress.
These seriously were hard for me but it was so satisfying accomplishing these because it just shows me that that my hard work is paying off!
Tonight I was feeling real fatigued. This whole month of February Iโve been kicking ass with no sign of stopping.
Fatigue started to get to me tonight but I dug deep and found all the energy I had left because I will not stop until I achieve my goals!

This is one of the hardest movements Iโve ever done and it took everything out of me to finish this set!
About halfway through I didnโt think I could finish but then I told myself I already did half of it finish the damn set!
Push yourself!
Iโve been heavy since I was a child. I always wanted to change but I never did and I believed it was impossible.
Years later as I take action I realized that the human mind is very powerful and that anything is possible if you work hard!

Itโs been a tough journey since February but Iโm still out here working. I had tried over and over again to stay on track to lose weight but ultimately gave up. But not this time because Iโm out here working as hard as I can because I want this and I will achieve this!

Tonight in his honor I did 8 dumbbell curls and 24 Overhead Dumbbell Press.
My goal was to do it all together unfortunately I couldnโt but Kobe would want me to get it done anyway so I kept going and I didnโt quit.

So today was my active rest day and I decided to get a second mile in today and anyway I decided to time myself.
I havenโt had the confidence to time myself since November because of setbacks.
Tonight I was only 2 seconds short of my record!
