Our beloved son, Brendan Fahy Bequette (age 25), passed away February 28th after a 20 month battle with a highly aggressive mediastinal germ cell cancer. He was the light of our lives and we will miss him for the rest of our lives. We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love

🛑 All across New York State, too many families experience the pain of losing loved ones to traffic violence. We need to pass the Crash Victims Rights and Safety Act—all 8 bills—including mine to increase state $$ for complete streets projects. Safe streets are a policy choice.

Happy 175th birthday, @ualbany . Since its foundation in 1844 the SUNY school has been a major part of the #CapitalRegion and helped shape education in NYS as the state's first public institution of higher education, which helped lay the groundwork for the SUNY system in NY today.

🚴 Last night the Assembly passed my bill legalizing the 'Idaho Stop' in New York State (A.3986). @NHTSAgov data shows that in states where the Idaho Stop is legal, crashes, fatalities, and injuries dropped significantly as a result for cyclists and traffic safety improved.
