Seinfeld had shallow, self absorbed characters and the ending was designed to highlight that the characters were pretty terrible people. Friends also had shallow, self absorbed characters, but the audience was expected to think that they were good people.

I don't generally go to twitter requesting prayers, but today I will. A father of 2 from my congregation is scheduled to receive a lung transplant this morning. He has had a long and terrible road because of covid. Please pray for Peter that the surgery would be successful.

Well it took 2 years after filing, but the Central Ohio Lutheran Immigrant Mission will be a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS. The paperwork is signed and mailed and once they receive it and sign it, it's done.

The stole being placed on a pastor is a symbol that he bears the yoke of the ministry. It's not his ministry, but the Lord's. It's not up to him what to do, but he is given to do that which has been entrusted to him from the Lord.

Our little church choir is going to sing Christmas hymns at our townโ€™s cookie walk. We get to sing of the Savior while the town gathers for a cool event. The school choirs declined the opportunity. The big churches in town declined too. But weโ€™ll do it. Gladly.

My heart is full The Apostlesโ€™ Creed was confessed in English, ASL, Arabic, Amharic, and Somali. Voices were raised in worship and prayer. Brothers and sisters from different cultures were one around the Communion rail. God be praised. #MissionFestival

Few things are absolutely essential for churches. The divine service A pastor Word and Sacrament ministry But things like Sunday School, VBS, youth group, LWML, LLL, etc. are not mandatory. If theyโ€™re helpful, then great! If not, donโ€™t feel guilt for not having them.
