With the rumour about Lewis building,
#BCAFC
should look at Lawrence Vigouroux, signed as 3rd choice keeper for Burnley and in my eyes was the only keeper better than Lewis last season.
Sam Walker:
A great shot stopper with some good reflexes. At 6 foot 6 perhaps a sizeable presence in the box.
Seems to struggle with distribution and leaving his line.

Rumours of big V to Stevenage, makes some sense as played well under Evans at Gillingham, but would Evans be willing to take the risk given his record with us? Be good for all parties though if true

Harry Lewis: “This was an opportunity that came up which I felt I could not turn down”
Seems as though he wanted out as well and not a case of the club shipping him out…

Thoughts on Young? Here’s mine:
- On the injury, a fair few Swindon fans say he was playing through an injury for a while before he left, so it’s far from fiction.
- if sold, it’s clear Alexander won’t let him go for a small fee, so couldn’t be too bad
How about you?

Tyler Smith is a right baller, the type of striker we needed to sign and I’m so glad we’ve got him. Hope he starts doing this in the league though 🙏

GA: “They wanna see good quality, they wanna see goals, they wanna see attacking- they wanna see their team go and take on the other teams”
Sounds good to me! 😁

It’s not saying this team was better because they had higher xG - it might imply they’re more creative but if two teams have an xG of 2 each and one team wins 2-0 it is a good way to measure their finishing capabilities, xG doesn’t win games no but it’s a good tool imo to measure
Jake Young now the leading goalscorer in the top four divisions of English football!
Will Swindon Town keep hold of him in the winter window or will Graham Alexander bring him back to Bradford City?

What I wanna know right now is what’s the plan? Is there anything in place to help us build up from where we are now? Feels like we just try different managers and nothing else
#BCAFC
@allmoshnopit
That’s how I read it, or at least someone qualified in the footballing department. Good statement imo and says everything I wanted to hear - just got to do it now
An intent to further develop the footballing staffing within the club, more investment and a shift in direction from being sustainable to being a successful club. Confirmation we’re still up for sale and Stefan still plans on buying the ground. Don’t mind it, others might

Conceded 13 in 4, scored 1.
Started convincingly then let it slip.
Not a clue what’s going on, aside from changes higher up how can it be fixed? Next season will be a laugh 😬

@ParadersThe
He's a very good keeper and isn't anywhere near as bad at coming off his line as you might think. Started slowly for us but then because a very very good keeper. Was gutted he left and I reckon we would be 3rd rather than 4th had he been between the sticks.
@Ben24940802
Absolute unit who gave his all for the club, still think if he’s used correctly he’s a proper menace. Just didn’t fit with the playstyle at the time
CONCLUSION:
Overall I think the Cowleys would be a great appointment given their experience, playstyle, and past success, as well as potentially providing ground for long term growth within the club. Feel free to ask questions or request other managers below 👇
Been thinking, anyone think Lewis is a bigger loss than Young would be? Would love to keep Young yes but I think losing Lewis is bigger in terms of a setback.
Looking forward to seeing how Walker does in net though.

First of all I recommend checking out the brilliant
@LowerLeagueLook
interview with Artell, this is where I first found interest in him taking the job.
I’ve got to say I think one thing this half showed is how crucial to City’s approach Smallwood and Walker usually are, without them we seem to be lost in all transitions.
#BCAFC
Don’t take your chances and that’s what you get 🤷🏻♂️
Other than that encouraging performance against a higher side and with our best attack I wouldn’t complain if we showed that in the league
#bcafc
Whilst Adams is bound to get some stick, I really hope Songo'o gets a decent reception from us today.
There'd be nothing quintessentially more Bradford City than this being the day Yann finally lives out his dream of scoring an overhead kick. 😂

- Lawrence Vigouroux
As mentioned yesterday, many fans might look to loan former Leyton Orient keeper Lawrence Vigouroux. The golden glove in a title-winning season, he was instrumental in getting the job done at Leyton Orient.
Really good space, first time trying this and turned out really well so will be back again next week! Thanks to everyone who joined and spoke or listened 🙏
Here’s the recording if anyone missed out!

My take on this:
Fans have been desperate for updates for a while, here’s our update. Granted it’s not the news we hoped for but on the bright side we’ve got a bit of clarity and know that the interview process is coming to an end.

@SHD_Backup
Adam Wilson I love, so direct. At first I found myself getting annoyed with how every time he had a chance he went for goal. Now I realise that’s what we need
People here questioning the reliability of the questions being asked aligning with the views of most fans, while it’s not ideal, still put your questions in then it’ll be hard to only pick “good” ones.

Below, a look at the stats during his second full season at Crewe, 19/20 promotion winners.
Shots on target per match: 5.2 (1st)
Big Chances Created: 67 (1st)
Goals per match: 1.8 (1st)
Average possession: 58.3% (1st)
Accurate passes per match: 372.9 (1st)
If Young ends up going too, what ins would you be after to make up? Personally one more up top and a LWB too, maybe look at another GK in summer depending on how well Walker does.

Alexander speaking on BBC Radio Leeds has cited being played through injury at Swindon as reason for Jake Young being out. Still says it’s not in his plans to sell.

- Sam Johnson
Playing in the National League football for Halifax, Johnson is certainly a strong player when it comes to shot-stopping. Some might consider him weak with the ball at his feet, but at times so was Lewis, and in GA’s direct play style this might not be an issue.
