Panzi has an incredible team of doctors, nurses, midwives, and support staff who are dedicated to walking alongside survivors of sexual violence as they receive all aspects of holistic care.
42 houses have been built for survivors and other vulnerable women in South Kivu. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, one woman shared: "We lived in houses that were like pigsties. Now we have beautiful houses which honor us and make us worthy like all the other villagers."

After several months of construction, 42 houses have been built in South Kivu for survivors and other vulnerable women in an area particularly affected by conflict. Dr. Mukwege attended the ceremony and praised the courage and sacrifices made by these women
“The Congolese people are resilient, courageous, innovative and unbelievably hopeful given the circumstances,” Dr. Mukwege says. “I believe in them. I believe in their will and I believe in their faith. The people of DRC deserve a bright future.”
