A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged after two police officers were seriously assaulted in

He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court tomorrow.

One male has been arrested, and a report is being sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

About 9pm on 27th September 2024 the priority policing team from Wishaw stopped a 40 year old male in possession of a lock back knife on Orbiston Drive Bellshill. The male was arrested and charged with the offence and will be appearing at court on a later date.

Officers patrolling targeted areas detected 8 offences, obtained intelligence that led to 2 males held in custody for housebreaking & conducted 71 vehicle stops.
