Not the best of years. Started with the broken bones ice slide off the bike on January 3rd, putting me out of action for 7 months. However, managed some great August rides including my first bikepacking trip. Also competed at the National 10 mile TT champs with a PB in October!

Closest ever pass today. Idle Rd in Bradford. Brushed my elbow, then turned left, right in front of me. 😭🚴 I had to brake hard to not go straight into the car. I just can't understand driving like this. The driver could not have failed to see me, unless very distracted.

Clavicle fracture #distal 🩻 is virtually identical to the one on the other side done last year.Conservative treatment as expected. Torn muscles in back too, which are giving me significant grief. So, just a case of waiting for the bone to heal now. 😭😭 Bye bye summer biking. 🚴
