Congratulations to OHGS pupil Autum, who yesterday swam the 200m free at the English Nationals in the 12/13 category. Not only did she achieve a personal best and become an U13 Bronze English Champion, but she was crowned the fastest 12 year old in England. Well done Autum!

Yesterday our Sixth Formers took on the staff in a football match! After a solid performance from the Hulme staff team clinching the first two goals in the first half, the Sixth Formers came back to fire home four goals and take the win in the second half!

Last week we went to the English school's athletics competition with a group of students in Years 7 -10. We had stand-out performances from Lois (Y7) and Doxah (Y8) in 100m and Holly N (Y10) in 800m. Theo N (Y10) won the U15 800m event and Favour (Y8) won the U13 shot putt event!

Our Reception class had a fantastic day today at Fleetwood Beach! The children enjoyed playing on the beach with lots of different toys: buckets and spades, kites, bubbles and balls. They had their lunches sat on the beach with the sea breeze in their hair, plus ice cream!

This morning our Senior School students took part in an assembly about the topic of kindness. Mr Marshall reminded us of the importance of being kind to one another, and encouraged us to "be a leader and a warrior", ensuring our peers always feel welcome and supported.

We had more sporting success yesterday at the Oldham School Year 9 Netball Tournament at Crompton House. Huge well done to our Year 9 team who enjoyed a great afternoon in glorious weather and came third in a very strong field. 👏 @HGSSPORT1

Part of Hulme's goal when sending pupils out to the world is to shape and grow legacies. Our annual alumni dinner is a staple of the Hulme calendar and a testament to the number of legacies built here, and we were delighted to host it again for the first time since 2019.
