Proud to announce that my Dad, David “Clay” Burkhard just received word that he will be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame through the Ohio Chapter this fall. He was a successful coach at Fairview High School for 27 years. A great influence on me and so many others
My heart goes out to all the athletes and families that sacrifice so much for this one weekend. This does not diminish what you accomplished. It does not change how proud I am of everyone; athletes, families, coaches teammates, and everyone we compete against.
I am overly thrilled to announce that our Middle School Wrestling Coach, Johnny Miller has just been selected as the Ohio Wrestling Coaches’ Assistant Coach of the Year! He will now be up for Regional COY and possibly National COY! He has coached OFMS 42 years!
OHSAA Division 1 Districts: Olmsted Falls finished in 6th place overall! 3 State Qualifiers: Atkins, Urry and Simon. 2 State Alternates: Burkhart and White. Great Weekend for Falls Wrestling!
Congrats & Good luck to Coach Whitson as he accepted a job with USA Wrestling. He will move to Colorado and work with high school aged wrestlers on and off the mat. Thank you, you have contributed so much to Falls Wrestling, you will be missed.
Congratulations to Coach Jonhenry and his wife Missy on the arrival of Luke Eli this morning. Luke, Mom and Coach Airjohn are doing great. Can’t wait to get him in the wrestling room!
OHSAA Sectional results (top 4 qualify for Districts; 5th place is an alternate) 2nd Place: Salti, Josh Jaeckin, Atkins and Mendeluk; 3rd Place: Shaw and Justin Jaeckin; 5th Place: Stang and Wolanin; 6th Place: Fetterman. Off to Perrysburg next week!

This day 20 years ago, OF Football won the State Championship! What a great moment that was for our community! Congrats and happy 20th anniversary to all involved. I will never forget being at that game!
OHSAA Districts day 1: All 6 guys won first round. Shaw, Salti, Josh Jaeckin and Mendeluk won 2nd round and are in the semis. Atkins and Justin Jaeckin still alive in the consis rd 2. W are done for the night.
That’s a wrap for our districts. It looks like OF will hold on to finish 7th Place overall in a very tough District. We will be taking 3 State Qualifiers (Shaw, Jaeckin and Mendeluk) and 1 Alternate (Salti) to Columbus next week!
OHSAA State Tournament: Jaeckin just won his consi quarter final to move on to the consi-semis. He and Shaw are at least top 6 and can earn up to 3rd Place tomorrow morning!!!
