You’ll see 100 retrospectives of the El Reno tornado today on twitter, and at most you’ll see a few mentions of the deadly flooding that occurred in Oklahoma City that evening that killed more people. Hydrologic/hydrometeorological issues deserve more attention than they get.

@JasonMWX I don’t think we should get rid of gen eds, but colleges should absolutely scale back the gen ed requirements. I would have been way better served if I didn’t have to take film studies and instead could have taken more GIS classes.
