I am starting to feel better. Originally they talked about doing a surgery on my face but that’s not the case now. I should be released anytime. Dad is still under a ton of pain and not very mobile. Needs a wheelchair. I asked the doctor if I could race this weekend and told no.

Ross said he grabbed 5th gear and just never lifted around the fence. No driver used 5th gear all day. The only other guy that we have seen grab another gear and pass half the field is Cole Trickle.

Kid at Millbridge just ran into another kid after the race was over. They got hooked together. He gets out and walks off the track leaving the kart behind. His mom made him go back out on the track and push his own kart off the track. That’s the way it should be.

In 2012 I won the Gator Nationals here. I passed Austin Dillon to win. My biggest win at that point and it propelled my modified career. It was the only time I have ever cried in victory lane. To see the emotion out of Charlie after winning is something I felt. I did the same.

Hell tour day 1 update. Lots of issues, none on track. Maddox is sick, I don’t feel great either. Drove til 4 am. Just rolled into Peoria and seen the strip club across from the racetrack burnt down. Really enjoyed seeing those neon lights going down the back stretch.

Went straight from Chili Bowl to Lennies to the airport and now the shop. Doing the worst job possible in racing today and that is mount a seat. From torsion bars to 4 link bars in the matter of a couple hours.

Spoon River. 100 laps. Great track as always. Won right around 12k. My biggest payday in racing. My engine builder told me if it gets hot don’t worry about it. Run it til it shuts itself off. Big ten four dad.
