Here is an example of how the new look Big 12 could operate with a “Pod” scheduling model! Four pods, each with four teams. (And access to four time zones) Teams play all members within their pod annually, with rotating matchups against 2 teams from each of the other pods.

Any team on the road at a Big 12 venue is in for a VERY tough game. Nearly every new Big 12 matchup would currently be Quad 1 or 2 anywhere you play them. UH, BU, KU, TTU, lSU, and BYU would all be considered Quad 1 REGARDLESS of the location of the game. #NewBig12

The Big 12 is in fantastic shape from a coaching standpoint. Ardanda, Fickell, Sitake, Campbell and others look to be staying in position for a while. The new Big 12 has been able to keep their elite coaches in place and will be a very well coached league moving forward!

The New Big 12 finished the season with the second most teams in the CFP rankings out of all P5 conferences. (2 more than the current B12) Cincinnati impressively secured the playoff selection, and both Baylor and OSU were in striking distance. So excited to usher in the new era!

College sports are built on rivalries. While realignment may have reduced the frequency of some of these games, it definitely hasn’t done much to change the passion and ferocity between some of these programs. In many ways it has only deepened the rift! #NewBig12
