Villa had won 9 in a row before tonight at home. Every game since February. Brentford had only lost 1 at home in 12 months before they played us. This Everton side is better than a lot of people think, the stats have shown it for a while, now the results are slowly coming.

Everton have survived Benítez and Lampard and three relegation fights, selling everyone, having Maupay up front for a season with no DCL, whilst spending 800M on a stadium with debt and a couple of hundred million losses. Challenges this summer are minor. 🍻

So Digne played his cards thinking he could go to Chelsea. Falls through & he's left with a choice of Newcastle, Villa or stay. Bridges burnt at EFC so he has to move, sitting on the bench for 6 months kills his world cup hope. So he is off to a team three points above us. Bravo

Everton wasted loads of money between 2016-2018, but excluding the promoted clubs only Southampton, Palace, Brentford and Brighton and Palace have squads that cost less than ours to put together. 12 clubs have more expensive squads!
