That's all folks. An amazing campaign in Alloa & Grangemouth, thank you to those who voted!
💚 We DOUBLED the vote share,

💚 Beat Deputy Leader of Alba by nearly 1000 votes,

What an amazing wee group, who rallied together at short notice for an impromptu litter pick in Glasgow Green 🏳️🌈
It was lovely to reclaim this space as one welcoming to all who want to enjoy the Glasgow sunshine. ☀️

If you do not see physical disabilities, you do not see us. They are not removable parts of ourselves - it's our reality Every. Single. Day.
Nice thoughts like this from non-disabled people, feel like you haven't taken any of our experiences into account at all, and do not care.
@CloHiggins
Cllr Higgins, you *do* recognise the issues with this bench for both disabled folks & the homeless population though, right?
There are many wheelchair users who’ve taken the time to patiently explain why this gesture is both tokenistic & inaccessible.
For example: powerchairs.

He doesn’t need to. Some autistic people may never speak verbally - it doesn’t mean anything bad, it’s just not how they want to communicate.
I’m sure her brother is still a lovely young man who finds other ways to communicate 👍🏻
We shouldn’t place an expectation on speaking.
Wanted to try the 🐑 coffee shops that have infested Edinburgh, but the one at Haymarket has a 4-step security system to keep me out! This was a saga in which we were punished for our curiosity.

I told the folks over the phone that my name is “Chloe, with an h”

Not going to share the pic of the trans activist covered in blood as our community have been through enough.
But I won't mince words here - the blame for this rise in violent transphobic attacks lies squarely with the UK Government for enabling bigotry at an institutional level.
I bumped into this guy on a late night train a few months ago & as I struggle to recognise faces, I asked "Excuse me, this might sound weird but are you John Curtice?"
To which he replied totally deadpan "Yes, he is indeed real."
Icon behaviour, tbh
All of my love & support goes out to the young man who was just misgendered on live television & discussed without his consent nor prior knowledge, by Ash Regan.

Little acts of allyship are v important for queer people visiting *their* building of representatives.
We should be challenging unneccesary restrictions on self-expression - not to mention how gross it feels to have one rule for building staff & another rule for the rest of us.

A mother has been jailed for 28 months today, for taking abortion pills after the UK legal term limit.
She had no prospect of re-offending, 3 kids at home (one of whom has additional support needs) & needs access to mental health support.
This is horrific, and there's more: 🧵
Judge says “unusually” the court has received a letter from various medial bodies, including presidents of RCOG and RC of midwives.
Describing them as “eminent medical professionals”, he says they urge a non-custodial sentence.
He says the letter is “inappropriate.”

Hi, I was the interviewee!

I would however, like to give more focus to Clapham tonight as their situation deteriorates.💛

Mate, not the point. Maybe the times didn't work as she'd need to arrange childcare (3 kids depend on her, one with ASN), maybe she's clinically vulnerable.

They are advised to be across the road, but sound/noise disruption is the main thing you can currently use to move them on.

No, they really don’t...? The only thing you are ‘entitled’ to is the collective relief that a mother has returned home to her family today, safe and well. Leave them to heal now, it’s hardly like you were out with the torches & sniffer dogs.

They didn't bother to respond.
