Catching up on tweeting after a busy holiday season. Just found out a patient of mine got a re-infection of his heart valve; he was deemed ineligible for a second replacement as he was actively using still; I know he wanted to live but they sent him to palliative care.

My coworker called the 24/7 on call line for #COVID19 this morning to ask a question in real time. Imagine if we had a 24/7 hotline for the #ODcrisis set up within weeks of OD deaths years ago? A phone line where ppl could call in to inform of unusual ODs or higher rates of ODs

Dr. Ben Thomson was doing what every person with a conscious is doing: calling out misinformation intended to dehumanize Palestinians & justify genocide (ie the now debunked news that Palestinians had beheaded babies). In response, serious allegations were levelled against him.
