In 2019, the Hogaak combo deck got bridge from below banned in Modern. Players put Satyr Wayfinder into their Hogaak decks and it was better than before. No real reason for thinking about this, but it'd be a shame if this happened again someday.

Nine times out of ten when an opponent points out that I paid a wrong cost or cast a spell when I couldn't, they try to fix it at the table and I tell them I want to call a judge and request a penalty for myself. Nice to know I'm getting flagged for that. Feels way out of nowhere

Flew to Denver to play LCQs. Registered as soon as I was on site at 10:30 am, registered for my second as soon as I got my first loss. I was able to play three matches of magic in 6.5 hours. Miserable system, won’t be doing this again.

@NandovMovies My understanding (could very well be wrong) is that Rest in Power is used when somebody was marginalized in life and had their power taken from them, specifically if their death was caused by that marginalization (for example, when a Black person is a victim of police brutality).

Just watched Kevin McKleskey cheat a bunch at the table next to me last round of an IQ. I told the judge and they said it was ok. I got tilted and played the worst game of my life to miss Top 8. Feels bad to put so much time into magic when cheaters are allowed to run rampant.

Do all these things for your friends, but also do them for people you work with and your classmates and people you aren’t that close with. Some of the toughest times in my life have gotten easier because somebody I wasn’t super tight with saw I was struggling and offered a hand.

This is the most I’ve enjoyed Magic coverage in years. I initially didn’t like the up-and-down orientation, but it’s cool now that we’re zoomed in and eliminated some of the dead space. Layout is clean. No downtime is the best decision coverage has ever made.
