Think of it like life and death!
There's a difference between organizations FOR Deaf people (providing services) and organizations OF Deaf people (run BY Deaf people to advocate for their rights).
It's like the difference between life SUPPORT and LIFE itself! ๐ค๐ค๐ค
@PSCKenya
I support this.
I request PSC to invite Kenyans with disabilities to participate in the establishment of the position of the CAS for exclusivity setting. Let's allocate 5% of the appointment of Persons with disabilities in public service, according to the constitution of Kenya.

Essential information about public health measures and emergency responses often becomes a communication barrier. Dennis Njue's blog, from KIPPRA, was born out of a deep commitment to advocate, working towards a more inclusive reality for Deaf people in Africa.
Deaf Rights= Human Rights
The 2024 theme for the International Week of Deaf is "Sign Up for Sign Language Rights".
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities ( 13/12/ 2006) is a game-changer for global Deaf inclusion!
Deafness means having little to no hearing, so volume is not a priority for where they live.

The Kenyan Constitution prohibits discrimination based on disability, and requiring a medical report solely based on deafness violates this right.
Madam Faith odhiambo, the president of the law society of Kenya, did an excellent job in leading and offering legal assistance to individuals exercising their constitutional rights to protest against the finance bill 2024.
Double Jeopardy in Africa: โ
Women with disabilities face greater risks due to gender bias.
