Did some testing on Apollo's skirt physics with

cloth physics. I will be using mesh cloth going forward from now on. The difference is pretty night and day 🤯
It was a huge honor to work on
@ironmouse
's model for the concert. I'm incredibly blessed to have been able to work on such an amazing project!!! 🙏
Everyone at
@VShojo
staff was very nice to work with as well! 😊
At long last I've reached the end of this project! It was a fun challenge to work on.
@henyathegenius
I have no use for the model, it was just for practice, your welcome to have it if it suits your fancy 🫡 onto the next model!💪

I hade to do 16:9 aspect ratio for this vid, as there is a lot more information on the screen. You may have to slow it down in some parts. To export uvs, select the mesh go to the uv editor in Blender, select

-Faster weight painting for skirts! 👗
Hate rigging skirts like me? Wanna speed up your workflow? Just use "bone envelopes" when weight painting your skirts
step 1: Go to armature setttings and go to Envelope view
step 2: Adjust the size of the
I always like knowing the 3D artist behind some of the vtubers I watch. I'll probably expand this list some more in the future. I'm sorry if I mislabled some of these. Feel free to comment your favorites in the comments too, I'd love to add it to my list.

I wanted to open up the invitations to take an art test to be my business partner for texturing again by actually showing you guys what the project you would be working on. For this Project you will be tasked with texturing Sinder 1:1, dm or respond here if interested!

A brief overview of some of the people I learned or was inspired by along my 3D journey so far. This doesn't list all my teachers as I have many more.

Sneak peek of the character we'll be making in my future "3D vtuber course", hopefully coming later this year. 👀 Thank you to the wonderful
@KisaNiyaV
for drawing such a nice ref sheet 🫡 She's donut themed, because I want this tutorial series to be the "Blender Donut" series
I was too tired to record a tutorial last night, so quickly wrapping up today's tutorial this morning, here's a sneak peak! Almost done👀🐉, maybe 30-40 min the tutorial will go live.
Final, final image for sure that I'm gonna go with.
@NyanNyanners
you're free to use the model I made if you wish, just dm on twitter or discord and we can talk details on how I can send it to you. Also happy early bday pink catto!🎂

Thinking about starting up a discord server after my course drops to teach more people about 3d vtuber modeling, I wanna get more people involved in 3d modeling
made this super quick over father's day weekend, (weekends are my study times) I took the weekend off initially but couldn't stay away from blender. I made this model as a practice session to help me build up my speed. Total time for this one so far was like 1 day and a half. I

-Make Cleaner Hair Meshes, By Welding Points 👩🦱
Did you use curves to make your hair? Do you want to have a cleaner mesh, by having all the hair connected, but find it a pain to locate all the right points to merge inside the mesh? Worry no more, as
If you ever wondered how people setup to where their avatar's eyes always look at the cam, it's just an optical illusion. It's a blendshape that pushes the eyes back slightly. 👀
When working with clients I give them the head early to test the AR Kit to see if it's to their liking, that way while I'm texturing I can also get feedback on how the client is liking the face tracking.
Feel free to reply with questions, here is the general layout of my upcoming course later this year

will tweak more. Going to be doing poiyomi stencils for the dark blue part of the eye so it fits within the light blue part 👀 Smidge bit of lag since I'm testing within Blender. 🔧
I'm honored, someone I really look up to follows me. 🥹 You inspire me to do better and try harder everyday. I'm gonna stay on that grind to get even better in future 💪

-Using a Proxy Mesh for Custom Face Normals 🧊
This is a quick and easy way to get custom face normals for your character. Blender has it's own built in normal editing tools as well. I would use this method as a good starting point when editing
Slowly but surely, still got a lot left to paint and correct. Painting is the longest part in the process for me.😢I'd be curious to know how other people paint anime models in blender. I just use 1 layer for the base color and the shadows when painting. What ya'll do?
#henya
More people had some questions about my base mesh, hopefully this answers some of your questions.
-Yes it does come pre-rigged.
-No it does not come with textures
-Yes it does have body hide shapekeys
-Yes you are able to export an FBX from this file to use
it in Clip Studio
-Blender Tip of The Day! 🗣️📣
When making anime characters in Blender always make sure to go to your render settings and change color management to "Standard". By default Blender has this set to "Filmic". Yay, no more washed out colors!!! 😄
Much like anything these tutorials I do take a lot of research sometimes. I'm more acquainted with sculpting muscular males (old model I did on the left), but it won't be too bad translating the anatomy knowledge over to a female body type
I don't have a behind the scenes image from the movie, but when I worked in the cloth simulation dept on Big Hero 6, the quickest way to fix the character's skin from poking through the simulated cloth was to just shove it all inwards. Here's an example w/ my own character rig.
