@StMungosFalkirk
said goodbye to Mr Phee (Stephen) For all that he has done for the school over the years, it was only fitting to say goodbye in style. This is what makes our school special.

what an absolute hero. With a regime shrouded in corruption and inhumane policies, more politicians need to do more. This shouldn’t fall to the public, but I’m glad we have people like Darren and many others speaking up to help their fellow man. 👏 👏 👏 👏
I am totally overwhelmed to be named “Teacher of the Year” It’s moments like these that make the job worth it. Thank you so much to the graduating class of 2021. You have been through one of the craziest years ever. Go and be the awesome humans I know you are.
@StMungosFalkirk
This is not a debate about any political ideology. This is not about the U.K economy. This is about making sure children do not go hungry. If you are against this idea then I am sorry, you’re in the wrong. We need to do better as a country. We need to do better for humanity.
I don’t claim to be an expert in dealing with mental health as every person’s mind is as unique as a snowflake. But the one thing I do believe in and that I find unifies us all is being open and talking about it. Although this is far easier said than done but once you take that
It’s okay to not be okay or feel down. Just remember that no matter what has happened or where you are in life, there is always someone to talk to. There are always people you can talk to and there are always people who are always willing to listen.

Last radio broadcast for these two. It’s been an honour and a privilege to have you on the radio for these past few years. All the best for the future. This is Charlie and Aaron signing off.
Truly the end of an era. These two have been absolutely indispensable to the radio over the last 4 years and the school will truly miss them. This is Logan and Euan officially signing off.
@StMungosFalkirk
11 years ago I sat my student placement teaching Film & Media
@StMungosFalkirk
Wouldn’t change this job for the world. Easy to say that I’ve changed quite a bit since then.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Media Dept tonight! Truly humbled. It means so much that our media pupils are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Great night, so much fun and so much pride. Also, here’s me with my work-wife.

Well done to this pair of absolute champs! This dedicated pair have given up every morning of this term to bring the news and the morning prayer to school. Thanks guys.
@StMungosFalkirk
@StMungosCreate
Well that was a stressful day. Hopefully it goes much smoother tomorrow. Well done to all the teachers and pupils today. Also, I did find this very funny.
The more interviews I watch from Kevin, the more I love him. His passion for film is utterly infectious and these are the people we need interviewing actors and filmmakers. He asks the right questions to evoke the best answers. Take a bow sir. Bravo!! 🙌
Loved hearing
@Zendaya
's thoughts about the narrative and thematic use of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score for Challengers.
This is my favorite Reznor/Ross score since The Social Network.
Luca Guadagnino utilizes the score as a leading character in the narrative structure.
I asked Olly here if he was available to come along to the St Mungo’s Academy Awards on the 15th of March, he told me that he would check his schedule.

Very proud and happy to report that she’s only went and won. One very proud teacher here. What a remarkable achievement. It’s incredible to see her undeniable talent being celebrated.

Been so nervous all day. What made it all better was everyone messaging me. Meant the absolute world. Thank you all so much for listening in, I hope you enjoyed it and hope you all tune in again next Sunday 4-6pm. Thank you all and take care.

People ask me what my classroom is like. I have always been proud of my classroom. I’ve tried to create a visually stimulating environment and being an absolute film-buff, it’s like you’d imagine. Any excuse to show my classroom. Teaching film is still the best.
#filmeducation
May I present the first ever graduating class of the St Mungo’s Film School. It’s truly been a pleasure to watch you create these brilliant pieces of work. Continue to be great and continue to tell your stories. Good luck for the future. You’re all stars.
Hi everyone! In amongst this doom and gloom, I am starting my own radio show on
@StirCityRadio
4 - 6pm on Sunday. It will be a show all about news, reviews and music from the movies. Check out the Stirling City Radio app thanks everyone!
Back to school and now have my Film Library all sorted. Free for pupils and staff to borrow. Will also be very useful as a reference for media pupils and the content research for their assignments.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Let us come together as a school through what will be hardened times. Most of all, as you keep Harley and his family in your thoughts and prayers; remember that we are here for you should you ever need to talk.
It is with great sadness that we share the tragic death of one of our senior pupils, Harley Smith 💔 Please keep Harley, his family, his friends and our school community in your prayers at this very difficult time 🙏🏽
This was 8-years-ago?!Graduated then went and taught English at

for my probation year, then earned a full-time post teaching Film & Media at

Now I’m back at uni working towards a masters. Believe me folks, if I can do it then anyone can.
This was 4 years ago today. The last time I was able to run the St Mungo’s Academy Awards. One week today it’s back and I honestly cannot wait to share the work created by these amazing students. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Just putting it out there, if any former pupil makes it big and wants me to surprise them during their own show. I’m available, I’ll even act shy if you want?

During lockdown I’ve been doing the following to help my own Mental Health. I’ve been organising many quizzes, been watching my favourite films, been listening to some good music and I have been going out for walks. While being judged by Willow.

Wow!!! What. A. Day! If you asked me 10 years ago how the end of the teaching year of 2024 would go, I would never have guessed in a million years it would go like this. After being at the

I would be at the

days later and meet all these terrific people.
Last one guys! One final goodbye to a superb class and a fantastic year. It really has been an honour and a privilege to not only teach you but to know you. All the best for the future. I know you’ll be great!
The final goodbye. This class have been superstars this year and I wish them all the best for the future. I know they’ll be great no matter what they do.
Thank you to
@bbcstudios
for inviting me to the opening of their new Glasgow, Kelvin Hall studios. Truly inspiring to know that the future of Film and Television is thriving in Scotland. Can’t wait work together in the future.

If you told this wee guy that he would be teaching film for a living, he would never believe you. Today, the job still makes me smile. Never in a million years did I think I would be here. Here are some highlights.

Here’s two photos of Willow. The first one shows just how excited she is for the Annual St Mungo’s Academy Awards. The second, she’s just found out she’s not allowed to come. Remember, this Friday at 7:00 with the doors opening at 6:30. £2 entry, £1 for pupils.

Last broadcast for this fantastic trio. Thank you for bringing joy in the morning for the past few years. Good luck for the future. This is Saffron, Rachel and Kate signing off.
Just wanted to take some time to thank everyone for coming last night and supporting our pupils and the incredible work that have created. Thank you to all our judges, presenters, musical guests and most of all our nominees. We have a few hiccups but we got there in the end.
What a night! This is why St Munro’s High School is special. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Any photos from tonight please get tagging folks.
Right at this moment we would just be kicking off the St Mungo’s Academy Awards. As heartbreaking as it is that it’s been postponed, your safety comes first. You should be so proud of the great works of art you created. Don’t worry, your day will come.

It’s an honour and a privilege to work with such amazing staff and to teach the best pupils a teacher could ever ask for. Thank you to everyone who helped bring the night together. L ❤️
At this moment many of you will probably be feeling very nervous about tomorrow and that’s okay. Remember, no matter your results, you have all worked so hard this year and should be very proud of yourselves. YOU’RE in charge of what you do with your life nobody else.
Great night at the Senior Dance. Well done to everyone involved in organising it. Hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. P.S. I might have some sore feet in the morning.
Today we say goodbye to a true legend of the industry. He taught us all both morals and values. He taught us to do the right thing and how to be incredible human beings. He also taught us that our only limit is our imagination. We will truly cherish your legacy. Thank Stan Lee.
What a wonderful and welcoming afternoon
@STVNews
studios today. Our future filmmakers and journalists learned so much. A huge thank you to our hosts for a fun and insightful tour. Also, I have to praise this crazy lot. What an absolute credit to their school.
@StMungosFalkirk
Words cannot explain how tragic this is. This man like many men was an inspiration but what Chadwick did was so wonderful and beautiful was use his well-earned position to lift people up and lead by example. Taken far too soon and we can only imagine what could have been.
Last time teaching this amazing National 5 Media Class. They have made some very high quality film trailers and have been an utter joy to teach this year. Good luck with your exam and hopefully see you all next year for Higher or Film School.

In the studio today just recording and organising jingles/ads etc. Not sure if you can tell by my face but I’m actually buzzing for this Sunday. Make sure to tune in Sunday afternoon 4 - 6pm

Today we say GoodBye to an absolute legend - Mr Mc Caffery leaves us after many many many years of service (over 40 😱😱)

We want to thank him for all his years of dedication and wish him a long healthy happy retirement - we will miss him at St Mungo’s.
Exactly 4 weeks today folks until the Second Annual St Mungo’s Academy Awards. Staff and pupils (and ex-pupils) feel free to come along and support the work our Higher Media candidates have produced this year.

Saying goodbye to this bunch was really hard. What a fantastic group of people. You have made my mornings great! It has been a pleasure to know you all and I wish you all the best for the future!
Ever since SMFM lost many members due to them either graduating or the set-backs caused by the pandemic, these two have picked up the slack. Whether that may be running the station themselves or even helping a new crop of members get their start. (1/2)
@StMungosFalkirk
Well I guess that’s the last time I’ll be
@cineworld
for a while. Really enjoyed Saint Maud, dark and haunting. The main thing is that I want to thank you for everything you have done for your customers over the years. Please save our cinemas. You’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Work on the 2019 St Mungo’s Academy Awards has begun. We have some great and respected judges on our panel this year and a have a fantastic night of entertainment planned. Spread the word and mark Friday 15th of March in your diary. It would be great to see you all there.
