Isn't...the point of democracy..."everyone getting equal input"? If multiple animators all have to work together with their own labor, isn't that...the most democratic art can be?
I just remembered that time where they're all in a montage preparing for the Cell Games and Cell was like "wait I'm so bored why did I give them 10 whole days to prepare I have nothing to do"
He’s Goku…how many times does he need to ‘rediscover himself’ after 40 years? I appreciate the sentiment, but this is the wrong character to be doing this on.
A random reminder that the first thing Gohan does after transforming isn't beat up Cell, but take the Senzu from him so he can be sure his friends will be okay
he's so good
The reason why people get upset at the ‘Piccolo is Gohan’s real dad’ memes is it implies the guy who kidnapped him and abandoned him in the wilderness is a better dad than the one who was sometimes absent for the sake of the entire world being safe.
Kai: Is making it all about Goku.
Z: Making it bigger than just Goku. And we can understand his way of thinking much more.
“Spend most of your life ruled by another. Watch your race dwindle to a handful” Cough Frieza. Dedoria and Zarbon slapping up groups of Saiyans lol.
The only selfish thought I have is I'm so glad he was a part of making Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero happen. It has given me an unbelievable amount of joy.
The Dragon Ball Z fandom was ruined by the video games. Their desire to keep people engaged every year mainly involved pandering more and more to fanservice until the franchise became associated with things fans would find cool over the actual story.
This kind of attitude is baffling to me.
If you want to be a trusted news source, either report things when they come out legally or reveal the leaks you found as soon as you can confirm it. This dripfeed feels like a desperate attempt to be popular rather than real reporting.
Sorry to say, but I'll have to change the supposed "Thursday" & "Friday" spoiler tweets.
They're so HUGE that spoiling them would ruin the movie.
They're at Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire level. I don't want to ruin the fun as it happened with No Way Home.

How could you come out of that and not think it was the best Dragon Ball movie? It actually knew what makes people emotionally connected with Dragon Ball. And it actually had a good script to boot!
It's so wild the narrator comes back to specifically tell people 'yeah no he's crying like a bitch'. Like they thought the fans wouldn't accept it unless it was directly stated to them.
Seriously, though, really seriously: what the fuck is happening to Dragon Ball fans? Who is teaching them that anyone feeling thematic issues with the DBS manga can’t read and therefore deserve less than zero respect as a human being?
Vegeta isn’t, and never has been, an irreplaceable part of Dragon Ball, and the fixation on keeping him relevant is a large reason why new DB material has felt so stagnant.
There is actually no point in the story where Goku abandons his family for good simply because he feels like it. There’s always a reason. And even with Uub, his kids have grown up AND he says he’s going to come visit every once in a while.
I had been planned to host a panel at Kamehacon on the Sunday, but I'm officially cancelling that appearance. I neither want to support the convention after the actions they have taken, nor do I feel comfortable to be there.
@lucahjin
Now you’ve finished V3, I don’t know anyone’s shown you this yet. It’s my favourite meme to come from the finale. Source is
@cheerkitty14
! I can’t find where the original link is.
You wanna hear controversial opinions? Dragon Ball Super made Gohan a better character. Because he actually had to work to unlock his potential. And we saw the reasons for it, the moments when it happened and the rewards of accomplishing it.
My favourite DB comedy is when the characters are acting like real people. It's probably why DBZA's humour hits so well for me, so much of that is just basic situational awareness of how insane the scenarios they end up in are.
@CrispsShot
@jasonschreier
Surely a culture of progressiveness and awareness of their faults would make them *better* at being able to satitise, not less…
@AnimeLab
Why do you need a big social media following to apply? You’re owned by the biggest anime distributor in Australia. It’s not like you’d have trouble getting people to promote the resulting work.
The anime changed a lot of stuff in the initial Great Saiyaman portion, probably because Videl basically figures it out his identity straight away. There's less adventures, but you miss out on some great character dynamics.
Brian Taylor, the British transfer student that Akane gets a crush on in Smile Precure, gets his name from Bryan Hikari Hartzheim, a PhD student from UCLA who was let into Toei Animation for research for his thesis during the show's production.
Sometimes I think people should try come to my part of the fandom, where Ribrianne is a fun character, power scaling doesn't matter, and the Tournament of Power is legitimately entertaining.
Toyotaro would be the kind of guy who'd write a Bardock story that tried to make the TV special, Episode of Bardock and Dragonball Minus canon simultaneously
@EmperorBigD
I’ve realised this is just how merchandising works. Things don’t have to have context or a story to be popular, they just need to look interesting so kids will be drawn to it on the toy shelf.
Um...holy shit guys, I think this movie sounds awesome. Pan, Piccolo and Krillin? A cheesy superhero theme? It looks far more down-to-earth and comedic and character-focused just by those vibes alone.
Hey, Bandai? I've got an idea for you.
Instead of doing normal Super Saiyan 2 Gohans, why don't you mix it up and have one that's Super Saiyan 2 + the cape? It's not technically 'canon', but Toriyama did draw it a few times.
Call me an elitist asshole all you want for actually wanting the script to be translated. But DBZ is not a domestic drama where people ‘roast’ each other all the time. And I hate those lines are the ones going viral.
Storyboard wasn't quite as strong as 110, but there were some definite highlights. Goku using the Kamehameha to grind over Kafla's blast was one of the coolest things ever.
#DragonBallSuper
God, that’s kind of messed up. I know they probably don’t want to upload a full-length compilation in case it gets Toei’s attention, but…those view numbers, man. That’s probably more than Mark’s video alone…
@PerryVonVicious
@strongest_human
People talking about the reveal of Shapeland being amazing and it was, but also the comedic timing of him explaining just what you’d have to do to properly experiment what effect Fastpass has on waits in great detail only to lead to the next part; him doing exactly those things.
