I usually go 2 to 4x the swing size. It is also important that the stock have good liquidity and buying burst at the point of buying

Oversized with tiny stops and then peeling in to strength is one good tactic.

There are two common phrases used, 1. Do not catch a falling knife 2. Do not chase a break-away gap If you define your risk, you can always find a setup at lower time frame #1 is instrumental for oversold bounces and reversals #2 - may be the start of a new multi-month trend

$TSLA - Trimmed 50% at 208 into close, about 4% I usually trim 75%, but this is a strong close; the next 25% will be at 213, stopping at break-even
