Today's closure of the Wii Shop Channel is one of the greatest arguments I can think of for getting physical copies of your games to retain access when services like these are shut down. Many games on the channel didn't have the luxury of having physical versions.

RIP Rutger Hauer, known for the legendary role of Roy Batty in Blade Runner, but I absolutely loved his work in @BlooberTeam 's Observer. It slowly grew to become one of my favorite games of all time. He will be missed.

Hate to live during an internet era where NFTs are a thing, but we can't keep things like Yahoo! Answers or AIM around. There's nothing fun or entertaining about "owning" some data. I miss when the internet was fun and not a collection of the same four sites with ugly fonts.

A new member of the family arrived today, a second PlayStation debugging station. This one was in use by Square after mid-1996. It still has its (very cool) labeling. I’ll probably never know what the team used it for, but I wish I did!

Now that I finally have a Laserdisc player, I got my first Sailor Moon S volume. I grew up seeing these beautiful covers online everywhere and had no idea what they were from. Now I’m 30 and I’m going to get them all because these are my favorite pieces of Sailor Moon art.

MFW I hear Nintendo has officially ended production of the 3DS family. The 3DS is near and dear to me. Switch is fine. 3DS was the sweet spot. The perfect handheld for me, with a better library and special editions. The entire DS line, really. Pour one out for a real one.

Psycho Dream (SNES) is available for the first time in the US via Nintendo Switch Online. It has a task force called "Diamond Dog" to keep people from living in VR and abandoning their bodies. Agents are called Debuggers. Anyway, its logo, art, and title screen are awesome.
