Zuckerberg is afraid. In 11 days, without iPad apps that run on the hardware, Apple Vision Pro has more native apps than Quest has in 11 years. Quest is decent hardware, don't get me wrong. The video just smacks of desperation and fear.

@EdHines1977 @JasonKirell It depends, right? As a Marine, maybe. As a reactor chemist, it didn't matter if I did the mile and a half barely meeting spec, or in 9 minutes.

This may be the longest review I've ever written. Touches on a lot about the machine, beyond performance. Do me a solid and give it a read!

Review: Apple's high-end Mac Studio with M1 Ultra processor is very clearly not for everybody, but every Mac user should be excited about what it portends for the very-near future.

Get the fuck out of here with this. The US (emphasis US) Coast Guard went so far out of their way to help a company with a Canadian flag where "safety" and "experience" wasn't even something they considered in the interest of profit margin. Blame the feckless company, not the CG

There's a lot to say about the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The main takeaway is, if you need a portable Mac Pro, the M3 Max will give it to you, today.

Review: The 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Max, especially outfitted like our review unit, is expensive, but delivers power & computing heft roughly equivalent to the M2 Ultra Mac Studio for that cash. By @mike_wuerthele

This has been a saga for a decade. Apple & Qualcomm suing each other, settlements, Qualcomm saying that they expected the iPhone to not use its modem by 2024, and so much more.

Qualcomm will be supplying Apple with 5G modems for the iPhone up until 2026, a deal that delays the arrival of an Apple-created modem in the smartphone for a few more years. By @MalcolmOwen
