THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS premiered on ABC on this date in 1986. Check out this promo pilot from DIC animators Kevin Altieri and Eddie Fitzgerald. The clip was used to sell the series to ABC and it became one of the longest running cartoons of the '80s.
