This is the sweet spot for cybernetic orgs/BORGs. Smart contracts can help (e.g. timelock the BORG's multisig re: large spends & let the DAO veto them). But you can't deposit humans into smart contracts, so complementary legal rules, specialized by use case, are also needed.

OTOH, these specialized units also pose greater risks to the DAO than individual DAO voters. They have more discretion, can move fast & discreetly, & are cheaper to "51% attack" (see @TokenBrice : ) So the DAO needs check/balance mechanisms against them.
