I just took this beauty for a drive.
I have to say that I’m thoroughly impressed with its handling and general feel, not to mention it’s incredibly low fuel burn!
I just wish it wouldn’t take 2 minutes to start each engine. 😂

I hope
@British_Airways
are pleased with their new social media policy.
How exactly do they think the next generation of pilots will be inspired when they decide to cut the only public window that currently exists to the cockpit?
I’m all for rules but only thoughtful ones.
Beautiful sunset over France on the way back from Lyon this evening. Unfortunately not currently able to post photos of it to social media, so please enjoy this artists impression instead.
Sometimes that’s what you have to do.
It all depends on the weather and available airports to divert to.
But with this, maybe we can lay to rest the silly assumption that Ryanair always carry minimum fuel?
I’m not sure how old this video is but I CANNOT BELIEVE stuff like this is still happening.
Contaminated wings has been behind more accidents than I can remember and if you are the owner of this video, send it in to your Aviation authorities together with flight number and date.
Am I the only one who think that pre-boarding, using busses, and then letting the passengers wait in the bus, should be forbidden?
Especially at 06:00 in the morning..
@vueling
NOT a good look. Before the Alaska 737-9 accident, Spirit AeroSystems (who makes the 737 fuselage for Boeing) was sued by investors for hiding quality control-related issues from them: 🤔 👇
No matter what you think about their message, this represents a serious security breach as well as destruction of property and a crime against air safety.
I also have to question the messaging behind using, what I presume is, toxic spray paint to protest FOR the environment 😖
The position of that coffee cup makes me physically ill…. why, oh why would anyone do that?!
Behavior like this,by the way, is why social media and the use of personal electronic equipment is becoming banned in so many airlines 😖😖
SpiceJet has identified both the pilots who were enjoying gujhiyas after keeping the cup of coffee on the centre console.
Both have been off-rostered till the time inquiry isn’t completed.

I’m just going to leave this here…

Time for a new search?
It’s not often you end up on the “trending” list, only second to Mr Beast.. 😳
Thank you so much for all of your support out there.
Hopefully this will provide enough momentum to get the search re-started!

This makes my blood boil!
As a pilot, airport firefighter and fellow passenger, I cannot explain just HOW Important it is to follow the cabin crews instructions ESPECIALLY in case of an evacuation.
You have 90 seconds, if you are not out then, a flash-fire could consume everyone.

showing the cabin evacuation. Apparently didn´t went as smooth as expected, namely by PAX not following crew instructions. Again, good job by the staff handling this.
In honor of the memory of Captain Eric Moody, hero of British Airways flight 009, I am sharing this FULL interview I did with him, back in 2020.
It’s an unlisted video so you can only access it here and it’s a real gem. 💕
R.I.P. Captain Moody.
The video I will release today is among the most technically advanced accidents I’ve ever tried to explain and an absolutely heart wrenching story.😳
I’m sorry for the slight delay but we had some internal issues and didn’t want to release the video until it was just right 💕✈️
I am all for safety and security regulation but there are cases which are just silly.
If airlines can’t even allow media to take pictures of the cockpit, on the GROUND, then we will severely restrict positive insight into our profession.

You can be absolutely sure that this seat row was blocked off and not used.
You can see that the seatbelts are crossed on the remaining seats.
An aircraft can depart with inoperative seats providing they are not used and appropriate tech-log entries have been done.
This is an excellent example of the dangers of an engine failure at low speed.
Note how the aircraft immediately veers right?
That’s because the rudder is not aerodynamically effective yet and the pilots must reduce thrust IMMEDIATELY to keep control of the aircraft.
Well done!

Just completed 4 European sectors and have come to a conclusion; pilots who have just gone through the COVID crisis, gotten back into the cockpit, and still decide to “meow 🐈 ” on the 121,5 emergency frequency needs to consider if this is the right job for them…

A sunset in the cockpit is truly mesmerizing.
I wish everyone would get to experience one but as that’s likely not going to happen, I’ll try to share as much as I can.
Have a lovely evening everyone!

A Japan Airlines A350 was engulfed in flames after a collision with another aircraft. This is the first-ever A350 hull loss. Everyone reportedly escaped the burning Airbus, but the fate of the people on the other plane is still unknown. More here:👇
I love this idea!

It has Everything to do with Safety Culture.
Well done LOT.
This airline gives a chocolate box to their pilot who aborts a landing. Passengers of the diverted Indigo flt need to give three boxes to their Capt for thrice resisting temptation to land of unstable approach and then land safely. He deserves praise not censure.
You are never more proud than when you get to fly your own parents as passengers.

The United Airlines CEO flew to France, to talk with Airbus about a QUICK (!) A321neo order. Is Boeing about to lose an existing MAX-10 order, as a direct result of the MAX-9 blowout? More here: 👇
I am very sad to learn about Captain Eric Moody passing.
He was a gentleman in the true meaning of the word and I enjoyed our discussion about his and his crews fantastic achievements onboard BA flight 009.
Rest in peace Captain..
Very sad to hear of the passing of Capt Eric Moody. Eric came to fame through his calm PA and demeanour during the 4-engine flame out of a 747 after encountering volcanic ash. Rest easy Skipper.
I am so sorry to hear this.. we are following the developments closely and will update you on if something new comes in.
This is why it’s so important to keep your seatbelts on, whenever you are seated but if you are in the isle, it’s not much to do.

My industry is hurting, bad.
This comes as no surprise but I feel that it has to do less with the virus and more with politics right now.
I wish all countries could come together now with clear and coherent guidelines for both safety and passengers confidence in traveling.

Regarding the Singapore Airlines turbulence event:
I know there is a thirst for answers when something like this happens, but we have to be patient and await more information.
I will happily explain CAT and wake-turbulence in general but we don’t know what happened here yet.
