I was at RT for over 7 years, it was my first big animation job.. It was the first place I felt like I belonged and I made some of my best friends there. Working on RWBY was so special to me, and always will be. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by this.

Just your daily reminder that there are many more people who work on RWBY than just "Animators." There are MANY TALENTED people like lighters, concept artists, modelers, riggers, audio engineers, editors, comp artists, layout artist, producers, ETC. Animation is only part of it.

So I wasn't the anonymous person but I will say that this is true. At least an animator, I haven't crunched in over two years. When I did work extra hours, it was optional and I was paid for it. I won't speak for other departments, this is just me as a RWBY animator. (1/?)

I have a lot of emotions right now. I was so incredibly shy in high school, and did a lot of bad things because I hated myself for it. I still struggle a lot, and while it doesn’t always feel like it, I think I have improved a lot and have grown as a person. It gets better ❤️

Tonight I had to say bye to my cat Felix. He was there for a lot of dark years in my life, and was there when I got out of them. He wanted to be everyone’s friend and was the life of every party. I’m so lucky I got to be a part of his life and I’m going to really miss him.
