>Spends half an hour building a car to carry logs
>Runs into the exact thing that will break it in the most comical way possible
I don't know why but it has the same sense of magic as a funny ragdoll in TF2
I have identified the gundam twitter trustability factor*
If the Char pfp is Char looking cool, run.
If the Char pfp is Char looking absolutely pathetic, just a sad little piece of crumpled paper, trustable.
Evangelion's complex use of sex and sexual pleasure is an aspect I see dismissed all the time but I'm being genuine when I say the hospital scene is a thematically really well crafted and very human scene
Gundam discourse compared with Gunpla discourse is so funny cus one is your typical dweeb LARPing about how their favorite show is under attack by normies. But, the other is people arguing about how the C-clips on piece B-34 on MG Mcblorgus is actually good design.
@ThisIsRadinsky
@TombPigeon
wait omg when was this footage taken I've only seen that oil rig one and the one where it was swimming around
also it seems like the hypothesis on how it uses its arms to hunt is most likely right looking at this footage
I think making a character do something that harsh towards the main (and favorite) character of the fandom and still having people root for that character is a testament to how well written g-witch is
an aspect of Evangelion I don't see people talking about as much is how it's a post apocalyptic society constantly on edge of when the next disaster will rip everything apart. Yet still that anxiety is underpinned by a facade of normalcy, to appear normal in times of crisis +
yo not liking ships aside can we not do this? blatantly reposting art and making a snarky comment/sarcastic question about it is just shitty to the artist
I appreciate the craftsmanship of goodsmile but its just genuinely insane how bandai is lightyears ahead of everyone else.
Plamax 2.0 Asuka vs FR-LABO 2.0 Asuka
Paint vs multi layered injection plastic
Shinji is a deeply traumatised, sexually repressed and insecure person, I can understand how everything he's lived has led to such a moment of depravity.
devising a take that will throw gundam twitter into disarray "G-witch gundams are weaker than Barbatos because G-witch beams can be dissipated by rain"
*me learning the space colony name for moon gundam*: haha thats fucking stupid who would name it that
*finding out what something that orbits the moon is called*: what the fuck
I'm re-reading "Unknown number" again and I'm nearly crying, I don't think there's been another work of fiction that so perfectly captures how much dysphoria feels like a meandering maze of doubting your own brain and identity. I read it and see a conversation in my own head.
I guess it's why I love the broken world of Eva 3.0 and 3.0+1.0 so much, there's an acceptance of it's brokenness that is underpinned by a hope of reconstruction. On both a personal and world wide level its Anno's hope for picking up the pieces for a better tomorrow
One of these days I want to see someone with an actual engineering degree to enter the ring of Gunpla discourse and absolutely cause mayhem and have any point they make be miscontextualized into oblivion
as if masking your pain and running away from the truth of the issues around you because what else can you do when the world looks like it's gonna end at any second, Anno felt that with the cold war and I'm feeling it now with everything that went down the past few days
Mecha dudebros are like "why are no girls into Gundam/mecha??"
They are. There's a lot who are actually! Girls and women have loved Mecha since it's early days.
They just aren't in the spaces you're in because you've made the waters so toxic and hostile for them.
I love that this is the one scene in all of eva that I go "good god that doesnt make any sense" at, love the conveniently placed hologram-with-mass projector set weirdly far from the entry plug entrance port
@scenik8
What I find troubling is the discourse around whether or not to "forgive" Shinji based on the circumstances, maybe the understanding on what Anno is trying to say with this scene shouldnt be based on ideas of justice but rather focused on what led Shinji here as a person
Buying more into the Suletta isnt Eri theory. Its's interesting that the cover art for the OP and the OP itself shows them as two distinct entities. I also like how the Aerial is shown abandoned which I feel will tie into The Tempest's ending where Arial is set free (Eri's soul?)
