Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services Agency, better known as Medic, is responsible for providing world-class, pre-hospital emergency care in Charlotte, NC.
Our crew of Adamo and Venetia found this handsome boy on the side of the road. He was hit by a car but fortunately did not have any life threatening injuries. His parents were contacted and they took him to the vet for further care.
A little dancing is what the doctor ordered to help relieve some stress. Just make sure to social distance unless you got PPE.

At a house fire this animal was barely breathing. Medics put blow by oxygen. In 15 min he was moving around, whiskers were twitching and he was a completely different animal. He was then placed in the box with his sister that was already doing fine.

As of today, 1000 cardiac arrest victims in Mecklenburg County have been discharged from the hospital, and back home to their families, since January 1, 2010. This # is among the best in the nation. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ this post is to thank our teams & partners!
Our Non-Emergency Team (NET) does great work. Recently, one of our patients noticed an Atrium Health musical provider. The patient asked if a tune could be played to brighten her mood. What she didnβt expect is EMT Walcottβs musical skills.

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. Do you know the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack? Cardiac arrests outside of the hospital kill 350,000 people a year, but you can help! Learn CPR. Register AEDs. Download PulsePoint. You can save a life!
Keep calls about the Coronavirus out of the 911 system unless you are having a medical emergency. Your primary care physician should be your first call in non emergency situations.
As we start the 2020 EMS week celebrations we are encouraging you to submit photos and videos that include

Today is a special day for our Medic family. Today we celebrate the life of former Medic Paramedic Tim Hayes who nearly lost his life while providing patient care off I-77. His incident helped spear head tougher laws that protect current us.

911 Dispatchers are not seen often, but they play a critical role by providing care instructions to callers. Through our comprehensive radio system, 911 dispatchers provide coordination of vital resources to ensure our patients and field crews are taken care of. We Are 911!!
Working with our Charlotte Fire Department partners to help a patient who finds themselves in a predicament. Thankfully they are going to be okay. Sadly our stretchers donβt go that high.
