player Brian Grant came by to see my dad. My dad has been depressed lately due to his Parkinson's. Brian heard about him and came by to cheer him up. Brian also has Parkinson's and is fighting the disease every single day.
I was recently told that: "Crisis reveals capability". I have to give major props to Chairman Tony Fernandez, the Youth Activities Task Force, Town Staff, sponsors and our amazing volunteers for putting this all together in a little over 48 hours.
Today, we laid my dad to rest. I'm hurting and heartbroken but I'm also grateful to God that we had him for 38 years. Thank you to everyone that prayed ๐ for him and showed him love. (1/2)

MDC has received over $450 million in coronavirus funding via the federal CARES ACT. Unfortunately, cities under 500,000 population were excluded from receiving direct appropriations. No city in M-D reaches the 500,000 threshold so our County government has all the funds. (1/3)

Today, we officially opened the NW 60th Avenue pedestrian and bicycle shared use path. The new path is almost one mile long and it was constructed utilizing porous flexible pavement. This area of town never had sidewalks in the past.
