We are so pleased to have Y11 and Sixth Form pupils back in school today for their first day of on-site teaching. Every day this week we will be welcoming back each year group with special assemblies focusing on mental health, as we have done this morning.
We welcomed our pupils back today and started the morning with a whole-school assembly focusing on resetting expectations for the new year in line with the core values of MBS. We are looking forward to the term ahead.

Our pupils turn Paddington station purple today to celebrate the opening of the new Elizabeth Line. Adorning a ‘urban realm’ theme, with adaptations of the new train & colourful bunting, the pupils have transformed the space into an artist’s haven to mark the joyous occasion!

Last night, students at MBS baked sweet treats to sell at our Prizegiving Awards to raise money for a special trip to Nepal. The bake sale was a huge success, with the team raising £278. Well done to all!

In our first whole-school assembly of the year, the SLT spoke about issues pupils will be aware of from the media, including violence towards women, racism in sports and the impact of climate change. The talk also focused on the word 'community' and on keeping each other safe.

to see the exhibition 'Artery' by Allison Katz, who uses oil paint to explore identity and expression. With their sketches made at the gallery, students will now respond to the work as part of their GCSE topic titled ‘Contained’.

This week, our Y10 GCSE & Y12 A Level art students received a tour around Paddington Station.
The Station Manager toured the students around the old offices and the Victorian waiting room. The pupils then drew parts of the station, designed by the famous engineer, Brunel.
Thanks to immense generosity of our pupils and their parents and carers, we managed to raise £3,404 for the Sponsored Run on Fri 5th April. Click here to find out how the funds will be put to good causes:

Bronze cohort to Epping Forest. They navigated their way through the forest, walking a total of 24 km over two days! Throughout the expedition, the students showed resilience and demonstrated their ability to work in a team.

Martin & Gabriel in Year 7 have gone above and beyond for their homework project set by Ms Akhtar in English. Their class has finished studying Of Mice and Men and were tasked with designing their own ranch using the words from the novel. Such fantastic effort by these two boys!
We are delighted with Kai's self portrait re-produced at such monumental scale and now adorning our atrium. Through this acrylic on canvas artwork, Kai was exploring expressive colours and gestural painting to convey psychological and emotional concepts.
