2021 logic: If a single person with #naturalimmunity gets reinfected, even asymptomatically, it shows natural immunity doesn’t work. But if large numbers of the vaccinated and boosted get Covid, many of them getting severely ill or dying, that has no bearing on 💉 efficacy.

My take on what happened is that they had built up the vaccine and the moral obligation of getting it so much that, although it became clear being vaccinated didn’t stop transmission only a few months after rollout, to pivot then would have been too embarrassing and unpalatable.
