Donovan Mitchell is about to become the face of team USA basketball during an extremely turmoiled time for our country... and I honestly can’t think of a better young player than him to bear that mantle/burden.
For years there has been lots of discussion around the Utah Jazz & their true visual brand identity.
At that end, I have created what I think could be the true brand of the Utah Jazz for years to come.
I present to you:
𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐡 𝐣𝐚𝐳𝐳 || 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 🟣🔵
CP3 was getting into it with some Jazz fans down by the Rockets bench. Security came out to talk to the fans but CP3 sent them back saying “he didn’t say nothing wrong”... CP3 gets it. As much as Jazz fans hate him, he’s always “got it” when it comes to Jazz fans.
Kobe or MJ never disrespected the Jazz when they controlled the league. Or thereafter (even in MJ’s documentary, he didn’t trash them). What LeBron did tonight was something else man. Which is choice considering his personal record in Utah is horrible. It’s really disappointing.
Donovan Mitchell is showing what Hayward could’ve had. Mitchell is the king of Utah right now. And he’ll stay the king as long as he wants. He’ll be a legend here if he chooses.
If I’m one of Rudy’s teammates, next time we play the Warriors, I’m 100% gunning for Draymond. Ejection, fines, whatever... it don’t matter. Not letting that one slide.
So Damian Lillard's agent is actually actively calling other franchises outside of Miami and telling them to not trade for him, because you will inherit a very unhappy player? Oh now this is some bullshit.
I’ll never forget seeing Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell at the Vegas summer league last year... Murray would completely ignore every fan that tried to get a picture or autograph from him. Whereas, Mitchell had to be dragged away from fans because he couldn’t help himself.
Tonight is a great example of why/how Derrick Favors has been the most unselfish player on the Jazz. Had a monster game playing as (essentially) the starting center. But he’s agreed to come off the bench, play out of position, etc. for the last two seasons without complaint.
Please, tell me more about how awful Jazz fans are for booing Hayward in his return to Salt Lake City when the Celtics are booing their ENTIRE TEAM... AGAIN... tonight 😂😂😂
Btw, Jazz fans: if you're wondering what our free agency pitch is going to be this offseason... just go listen to what Kyle Korver had to say about Donovan Mitchell tonight. That's it.
Never forget that the Raptors fired their COY winning head coach & traded one of the most beloved players in franchise history in order to get to this point. IMMENSELY unpopular moves in the eyes of MANY. If you want to compete for chips, sometimes you gotta make hard choices.
It’s really funny how Don is out here leading team USA while Booker is complaining about getting double teamed in a summer pickup game. Like... you can’t make this stuff up.
Btw, shout-out to
@Tjonesonthenba
for being way ahead of everyone else on the Jazz’s interest in Jeff Green. If you’re a Jazz fan (or a fan of the NBA/basketball in general) and you’re not following him yet, you need to rectify that ASAP. He’s been killing it this offseason.
Should be noted: Bojan was one of the “biggest” free agent acquisitions in Utah Jazz history. He was a very important piece to the team we had these past few years. And I always appreciated how he approached things. Really good basketball player. Seemed like a good guy.
If the Jazz wind up with a top 4 seed, Quin Snyder should probably win COY. No all-star on the roster and you get a top 4 seed in the West? No one has gotten more out of their roster this season than Quin. Pop is really close with the Spurs but that’s it, IMO.
*I will not get my hopes up for the Jazz in free agency*
*I will not get my hopes up for the Jazz in free agency*
*I will not get my hopes up for the Jazz in free agency*
*I will not get my hopes up for the Jazz in free agency*
*I will not get my hopes up for the Jazz...
People, this isn’t complicated.
One group is supporting a terrorist organization that wants to eradicate jews.
The other is supporting the college football team.
I’d like to point out that
@UUtah
has allowed students to camp overnight in President’s Circle each time College Gameday has come to town during football season.
There weren’t any cops forcefully removing students then due to the “no camping” policy, why now?
Jazz didn’t hire Donovan’s choice for a head coach. They just cut his lifelong friend in Paschall. And they’re probably going to trade his other best friend on the team (Royce).
I think the pandering days are over.
He did play like this in Utah… not only that, he played like this while in the playoffs while in Utah. Like, did y’all just forget about his literally historic playoff performances? Dude has always been amazing. Y’all just ignored him because he was in Utah.
Danny Ainge got a lot for Donovan Mitchell, but if he ever played like this in Utah he would've ended up with even more.
Has gone from a top 25ish player to looking like a top 5 guy.
"America gave me so much...Come to my camp free and enjoy it. I'm not going to charge just because I play in the NBA...most important thing is inspiring kids"
@Enes_Kanter
on 30 🏀 camps in 30 states this summer FREE to kids starting this weekend in Portland
#RipCity
What Kawhi is doing right now is the equivalent to what Hayward did to the Jazz when he left. He's completely screwing whatever teams he doesn't sign with. Gonna have a couple VERY frustrated franchises when this is all said and done.
Jazz should just agree to pay Tobias a little less than the max but have him sign a sponsorship deal with the LHM business entities and pay him the difference through that 😂
Shout out to
@Tjonesonthenba
for being an absolute beast this off-season.
Went and covered the Nuggets championship run after a long Jazz season.
Turned right around to give A+ draft coverage.
Dude is an animal. Lucky to have him covering the Jazz 🙏
People can rip on the people of SLC all they want as far as I’m concerned. SLC is the best kept secret in America, and whatever it takes to keep more of y’all from moving here I’m 100% down for it. Traffic is already annoying as is, and I just don’t like people 🤷♂️ 😂😂😂
I’m honestly shocked to see all the THT haters.
The dude was UNSTOPPABLE at times last season.
And people forget he’s still really young (despite looking old).
He literally single handily won us several games last year.
I hate that it didn’t work out for Don and the Jazz. He was the promised one.
I’ve never been more excited for and attached to a Jazz player in my entire life.
Glad he’s happier now though. Just sucks to think about what could’ve been but never was with him here in Utah.
How quickly people forget that Rudy Gobert is the reason why the Jazz beat the OKC Thunder. He dominated that series, but now he’s overrated and worse than Capela? C’mon y’all... not to mention Rudy is the reason the Jazz even made the playoffs.
It’s been interesting political journey for me.
Four years ago, I never would’ve even thought about voting for Trump.
I’ve only ever voted R once, ever.
Now?
I’m 10000% voting for Trump.
The liberal left and their agendas are the most dangerous threat the country faces.
Look, if you think Donovan Mitchell has been disappointing for Team USA then that means a few things:
1. You’re a hater
2. You had waaaaay too high of expectations
3. Then everyone else on Team USA has been disappointing too because Donovan has been their best player 🤷♂️
I talked to several independent sources that heard/saw the entire exchange. ALL of them confirmed the fans side of the story. Including someone sitting directly behind the fan and his wife who Westbrook is seen yelling at in the video. But believe what you want, I guess.
And for those who are generalizing and bashing the people of Utah, Jazz fans, Mormons, etc. You’re a bigot. Plain and simple. Don’t try and pretend like your comments are anything else but straight bigotry. It’s shameful and disgusting. And shame on media members who propagate it
So, the Utah Jazz, a team with no all-NBA players (this season), knocked a team out of the playoffs with two all-NBA team players when they had homecourt advantage. Not bad.
He’s made the all-NBA team twice (all defense team 3x) and is the back to back DPOY. If that’s not enough to be considered a superstar than I don’t know what is 🤷♂️
Jazz fan here. We can’t call a guy that has yet to make an all star team a superstar. Great player, but not a superstar. And trying to push that narrative is silly.
Quin Snyder should win COY this season if the Jazz make the playoffs. No all-stars for the 2nd year in a row, yet back to back playoff appearances with a 1st round series win without homecourt advantage last season in a loaded Western conference. Jazz gotta get respect somewhere.
The NBA is reaping what they’ve sown with Draymond. They’ve intentionally let his antics go for some time now, and have totally enabled him to get to this point. I hope they suspend Dray for the season. Not sure there’s any other way to make it right.
I find it really funny how Celtics fans are essentially doing all the same things that Jazz fans did when Hayward left for Boston... they want a sign and trade, they're super bitter towards Kyrie and will boo him relentlessly when he returns, they're mad about tampering, etc.
