I was inspired, saddened, and moved by what is in this book. I wish this book existed when I was a Todai student myself.

UNPREDICTABLE AGENTS is now out in the world!!!
The book offers moving personal interest stories about scholars' lives and a unique look at the trajectory of American Studies in the US and Japan. Hope it reaches many readers!

A "Unpredictable Agents: The Making of Japan's Americanists during the Cold War and Beyond"は、企画者のワタシが言うのもなんですが、たいへん面白くもあり、感動的でもあります。
