The media should stop referring to Ukraine, Georgia, the Baltic states, Kazakhstan, etc. as "EX-SOVIET" states. It only whets the territorial appetite of Putin c.s. We also do not refer to Belgium as "ex-Dutch" or Ireland as "ex-British."

Interesting twist from Amsterdam: Dutch government says it has “independent” evidence - not just relying on US claims - that Russia’s 9M279 GLCM violates INF treaty. Just yesterday, Russia claimed range was only 480km.
