What’s ironic is that most people who are saying that K250,000 isn’t life changing have probably never even touched a K50,000. Personally, my life changed & improved immediately my salary moved into the 20% PAYE tax bracket. If you can’t do with little, you’ll never do with more.

Maybe what GRZ can do right now to mitigate load shedding is remove VAT and reduce customs on things like solar panels,gas stoves or heaters etc…Also, reducing or entirely removing VAT on Petrol and Diesel so that it’s cheaper for people to run gensets.

1. Zambia does have a thriving pensions fund with NAPSA 2. Social security grants are provided to the vulnerable in society every month. We aren’t there yet but every Zambian should be proud of the leaps we have taken and how far we have come as a country.
