Currently planning a year-long cross Canada tour to show up at protesters’ homes, honk continuously for 48 hours, block their driveway and ask them for food when I’m hungry.
When grocery shopping this week at
@FarmBoy
, I was chatting with the cashier and checked in to see how she was holding up. She said, “this has really brought out the worst in people” with a defeated look. It broke my heart. Be better humans. 🙁
I asked some of protestors about their views on everything from vaccines to who their actual leadership is to get a better sense of their points of view. Here’s a sample of some of what we showed on
@CTV_PowerPlay
and played on

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS JUST HAPPENED AT SENS COUNTRY NIGHT. I was demonstrating the “Shoot To Win $9400” and actually friggen scored. 🤣🤣🤣

Protesters at Confederation park, right across from City Hall and beside the NAC and Rideaul Canal, appear to be building some type of wooden structure. They've also collected a stockpile of propane tanks and diesel fuel.

The Nordstrom store in the Rideau Centre and the Nordstrom Rack at Ottawa Train Yards will close by the end of June, as the retail store shuts down operations in Canada.
Dinner tonight from Si Senor on Rideau thanks to the video posted by
@TimTierney
(I’ll link in comments). I met Hugo and he said the support has been rolling in.
I told him the video hit me both in my heart and stomach. ❤️🌮
It feels like Canada is splintering into two tribes - the intolerant, authoritarian woke lunatics on the left and the spittle-flecked, hateful lunatics on the far-right. Where are the voices of compassion and common-sense? The silent majority needs to speak up.
Brian’s unique view on the world in his last few months was an extraordinary gift. His bravery and grace created new boundaries for how we all should live. He loved his family, friends and the
@Senators
fiercely. We love you Brian. ❤️
So we wished Brian a Bon-voyage with a Sens win. Brian Fraser passed away tonight after a hard fought battle. We know he is at peace and looking for ways to watch down on us🙏🏻🙏🏻
Small mask observation comparing AB and ON:
I was in AB for first few days of mask mandates being dropped, and observed a 90/10 split of no masks/masks.
Today at the Rideau Centre it was 90/10 the opposite.
Cashier at Bulk Barn asking me to expand coupon on phone: “You’re going to need to make that bigger for me”.
Me from behind my mask with zero social awareness: “That’s what she said.”
I’m super comfortable in my own nature-hippy loving skin, but I also loved putting on makeup/doing my hair/put on a (comfortable) dress for a wedding yesterday.
Several people close to me have recently pointed out that sitting by an open window with a sweater on doesn't make sense, and just to "close the window".
Please agree that the cold air/sweater combo is heavenly.
If your friend/coworker has been laid off recently, do not hesitate to reach out to them or wait “until the dust settles”. Reach out today. In a month. In 6 months. It’s a life changing event and support is a glimmer of light.
Thank you to the Fraser’s for gifting me with

jersey. I’ll be wearing it this Saturday to emcee the

Ottawa Light The Night where Brian will be honoured. ❤️🩸
I drive, run and cycle in

. The amount of road rage + impatience I see when I’m running or biking is absurd. I’m sure killing someone with your vehicle will cause a lot more emotions than your hissy fit having to wait 5 more secs to turn left.
Ottawa friends, what should Craig see to see the REAL Ottawa?
Should I show him how far the Canadian Tire Centre is? Where the biggest pothole is? Walk across the river to check out a deppaneur?
Best awkward/innocent moment on my walk home: walk up to cross walk and stop next to young guy who proceeds to hold my hand, then notices his girlfriend is behind me. 🤣🤣🤣

I’m going back into the office next week so I’m trying on pants I haven’t worn in 6+ months. I’m happy to announce everything still fits/a bit loose. This is the most exciting thing to happen to me in 2020.
My brother and dad wearing my merch (and surprised me with a photo). 🥺
My family has always supported my ideas and dreams, and it makes me a little weepy to know how lucky I am. ❤️
Day 245 of the protest: Don Cherry is the new leader of the Conservatives, parking tickets are now a currency in Centretown, 2 lowly protesters fuelled only by cold pizza pockets continue to keep downtown Ottawa on lockdown.
I hope Canadian media companies step up for mental health support for people in their newsrooms. The amount of abuse both in person and online is unfathomable.
Not just "use your benefits", actionable leadership and compassion on all levels of management.
Celebrate your wins. 🙌🏻💐
This bouquet is for the largest voice over gig of my career. It validated everything I’ve been working for the last two years.
Happy long weekend. 🥂
Christmas came early in voice over land. 🎄🎁
Happy to resign my deal as the voice of the
@ComingInHotSens
podcast and this tee showing my worth. 🤣

FYI there’s an owl that swoops down and steals people’s hats in Gatineau Park. I won’t share where so it will be a fun nature surprise if it happens to you. 🦉
I set up my voicemail with my new ‘young and hip’ phone carrier. After recording my voicemail message the automated voice said “wow, you should be on the radio” and I’ve never been more triggered. 😅🤦🏻♀️
Happy Christmas Eve. We have no power in a blizzard and snow has drifted up in front of the door. My mom isn’t loving that I’m answering the landline, “Hi, the Frozen Residence.”
I’ve decided the perfect first date in Ottawa for coffee is the

inside the

. That way if you’re a dud I’m still caffeinated and can do my groceries.

January: couldn’t put face in water and barely did something that resembled the front crawl. 🙃
March: Multiple 100m repeats of front crawl. 🏊♀️
Goal: 750m front crawl in open water by end of July.
Keep showing up for yourself. Can’t wait for open water this summer. 🌊
My new podcast: "Let's Take This Outside", coming this month.
I’ll speak to athletes, outdoor professionals, and scientists about why they connect to nature.
It will be available on all major podcast platforms. Hope you give my new passion project a listen. xo
What a fun memory of worst month of my life. 😂 Just a reminder that social media or a photo NEVER shares the whole story. 👏🏻
I was in the deepest hole of anxiety when these were taken, and had to drive myself to the hospital the week prior with a 103 degree fever. 🙌🏻
