Folks, we know DALL-E 3.0 generation right now is taking longer than normal. We expected some strong interest, but we didn't expect THAT much, especially given it's a weekend. Bringing more GPUs in, will be better soon.

The most impressive and long-term impactful facet of GPT-4o is the two-way, streaming, interruptible, low-latency, full-duplex native speech. That is REALLY hard - possibly the first model that genuinely will be easier to talk to than type.

To clarify, since some people asked: we have been testing different versions of the Bing Chat Mode selector (the tri-toggle) for the last few days. We have decided on the final version, which we expect to ship in the next couple of days.

Ethan is clearly better at everything, my attempts are not as good, but still - isn't it kind of amazing?

New game with Bing's drawing feature. I ask it to describe to its "Bing Image Creator" classical paintings in as much detail as possible, but not using the names of the artist or the style, and see what comes out. Here is Monet, van Gogh, Rothko, Vermeer. Interesting results.

I, of course, suggested we use “super”, like the short alias in the NetWare 3.11 days. They were all like: “What’s NetWare?” Kids these days… :-)

New book on experience with GPT-4 (the model, derivative of which powers Bing Chat) - few people spent more time interacting with it than Reid:

I wrote a new book with @OpenAI ’s latest, most powerful large language model. It’s called Impromptu: Amplifying our Humanity through AI. This, as far as I know, is the first book written with GPT-4. Here’s how it all began…

We need ideas how to popularize Workspaces. This is such a cool feature! I tried to explain it as "Kubernetes for browsers with Neutron built in" - didn't seem to resonate with people :-)

@HenkPoley @xlr8harder Very similar, yes. Japan is our second most important market - no complaints of the type we see in the US. That's why it's important to improve the system together with people all over the world.

@S_o_1_a_r @yusuf_i_mehdi @bing Your example is in Precise mode. Default is Balanced, it produces longer responses. Creative is longer still, but necessarily less factual.
