We need to focus on stopping illegal smuggling of guns and their use in crime not targeting farmers and hunters.

As I prepare to resign from my short duration as Premier, I am grateful for the
@Wpg_BlueBombers
jersey from the PC Party, the book and cross from

and the kind words from
@DougaldLamont
. There is decency and kindness that winds between political parties not always seen.
In Canada, we all have the right to freedom of speech and peaceful protest. Preventing access and creating anxiety at a hospital are not however reflective of those Canadian values. Please respect patients and healthcare workers and protest elsewhere.
It’s been a tough year. Especially for many young people. To all you young Batman’s, Robin’s, Superman’s, Superwoman’s and Wonder Woman’s….you are our heroes.
We have something special on the Legislature just for you tonight.

Spoke with Premier Jason Kenney last night. Manitoba is providing pharmaceuticals to Alberta that they requested and we will continue discussions on other support that can be provided. In a federation like Canada, we assist each other in times of need when we can.
Manitoba's NDP revealed today they will be running a massive deficit because they failed to properly cost their election promises. The Premier now says he will consider raising taxes.
Two months in and he has nearly killed the fiscal horse that was pulling the social cart.
Of the 22 Premiers who came before, I am so looking forward to being the first who can hand the keys of the office over to our province’s first female Premier! Historical and long overdue.
Many haven’t noticed the flame on Memorial Boulevard in Winnipeg. It is the centennial flame, constructed in 1967 but only lit twice. Today I joined military representatives to light it in honour of our vets. It will remain on till Remembrance Day. I hope this becomes a tradition

I greatly regret that incorrect grammar was used by those that composed this tweet. It was intended to be fun. As a demonstration of how serious I take this mistake, I will resign my position as Premier by end of day tomorrow.

Manitoba has lowered the flags at the Legislature to honour the 215 children whose lives were lost at a former residential school in Kamloops. My family and I were moved as we observed their lowering and the participation of survivors. The Legislature will also be lit in orange.
Today Dr. Roussin, Manitoba’s Chief Provincial Health Officer, indicated schools can remain open because there has been little transmission in schools.
This is a direct result of the INCREDIBLE work that Teachers, EAs, bus drivers and all school staff and officials have done.
With the unanimous support of PC, NDP and Liberal MLA’s, this week the Polar Bear became an official symbol of Manitoba. Thank you to all members of the legislature for supporting my Bill and recognizing the important roll the Polar Bear plays in Manitoba’s identity.

The Manitoba Legislature is united today in grief at the tragic passing of Thompson MLA Danielle Adams. To her family, friends, and NDP colleagues, our hearts break for you and we are incredibly sorry for this terrible loss.
Wab Kinew said that to go after drug dealers he would follow the B.C. lead and bring in an unexplained wealth law.
When B.C. announced their law in March, their Attorney General said "There is already a similar piece of legislation in place in Manitoba."
And there is.

Janice Filmon has fulfilled the role of Lieutenant Governor with strength, grace and humanity. She is among the finest individuals to ever hold that office. I wish her God’s blessing for health and happiness as she begins the final stretch as Manitoba’s royal representative.
Thank you to

Thank you to the outgoing

Kelvin Goertzen for turning the page with a new style of leadership. Although it was a brief tenure as Premier, your accessibility and engagement were greatly appreciated.
It is not unusual for political parties to have different ideas on how to solve problems. It's another challenge when a political party doesn't even recognize there is a problem at all. 1/2

MLAs can make their point in the Assembly. Promoting or participating in a protest at an MLAs residence is disgraceful. I doubt Gary Filmon, Gary Doer or Greg Selinger would have supported a Caucus MLA protesting outside an MLAs home. Does

The Liberal government targeted law abiding farmers and hunters with recent

amendments. The decision to reverse course is a good first step but community safety requires violent offenders to not repeatedly be released on bail. We need to talk bail reform in Canada.
Students, teachers, and all school staff have done a tremendous job working hard to keep our schools open. I hope everyone has a great Winter Break and a chance to rest and recharge.
I was very concerned to learn of the injuries to protesters outside of the Legislature last night and wish for a quick recovery for those that were injured.

The Liberal Minister of Justice feels Canadians concerns about public safety are not real. They are. Manitoba is taking action on those concerns and we need the Liberal-NDP coalition to at least agree there is a problem, and then we can debate the solutions.

Premier
@PremierScottMoe
has called out
@JustinTrudeau
for the inequity of removing Carbon Tax for home heating costs in one part of Canada. All Canadians should be treated equally. On Jan 1, Sask will stop collecting Carbon Tax on home heating. What is
@mbndp
position?
#MBPoli
Trudeau has provided a carbon tax exemption on home heating for families in one part of the country, but not here.
It’s unfair, it’s unacceptable, and here’s what we’re going to do about it.

As Keeper of the Great Seal, I have appreciated the friendship we’ve developed and our shared love of sports, parliamentary procedure and Bubly.
Same for Manitoba. So
@JustinTrudeau
if removing Carbon Tax on heating oil is about affordability, wouldn’t the same logic hold true for natural gas? PC’s committed to removing it in Manitoba, now it seems clear by Liberal logic the tax should be axed.
