@FluentInFinance
Dude… Rich dad poor dad changed the game for like 99% of real estate investors.
You’re picking out stupid little things in the book and highlighting them as bad advice.
The foundation of that book is rock solid.
And I would encourage everyone who is interested to read
Nobody expects you to have all the answers. So stop acting like that's your job.
They are expecting you to have an open mind, be open to feedback (both positive and negative) and be resourceful enough to create the solution.
If you've got a job… You're working for the government.
By the way . . . Taxes are the number one deteriorating factor in wealth creation.
Not only is it important that you start a business...
It matters which business you start.
The funny thing about frugality…
The tighter you squeeze your fist the less there is inside of it.
Open your hand & Let the money come and go
Have faith that you will have what you need & be willing to do the work required.
@meetmikehiggins
That’s the most exciting/most interesting/most profitable play there is in real estate in my opinion.
I turned 6.25 acres into $500,000 profit with $60,000 invested.
It’s been difficult to repeat that Success…
But I’m actively working on it.
Obstacles are like checkpoints.
You need to upgrade your skills and take personal inventory each time you arrive at one.
And until you do so . . . you shall not pass.
Becoming a millionaire is not important.
Being the type of person who can earn $1 million is.
That second line… If you could become that… It's not about winning or losing. It's about having what it takes.
What if you can't win this game…
And if you play it well you get to play it forever…
And if you fall in love with the game and get to play it forever you're already in heaven
If you're feeling lost…
Remember...
All you need is a target.
Today's target does not have to be tomorrow's target.
And it's not about hitting a bullseye...
It's about knowing where to aim.
"Owning a business is hard"...
Maybe you're just out of shape?
Business is like a muscle. The more you work at it the easier it gets.
I've had jobs and I've had businesses.
They're just different muscles.
Be careful where you place your energy.
If your product sucks… You're in sales.
If you've got an incredible product… You're in networking.
All my sales people out there know exactly what I'm talking about.
I know so many people who suck at receiving negative feedback.
You might be one of them.
But something that needs discussion…
How you receive positive feedback is equally as important.
“Like me for who I am”
Is what people who hate themselves say as they refuse to acknowledged their need for self development.
A willingness to change and grow is the only real attractive quality a person needs.
Becoming a millionaire is not important.
Being the type of person who can earn $1 million is.
That second line… If you could become that… It's not about winning or losing. It's about having what it takes.
Fear is the dungeon, master…The great gatekeeper of all that you desire.
Until you get up close and see the illusion . . .
It was you the whole time.
Be the hero.
Visionaries…
Remember
There are two types of vision
Linear vision
&
Peripheral vision
Pathfinding requires both
You have to scan the horizon for opportunity...
And be able to chase it down.
You can't have a seller without a buyer.
It takes two to tango.
And this makes sales much more about collaboration than combat.
We anticipate each other's moves… Not to cut the other person off… But to facilitate smooth transitions.
The book “As A Man Thinketh” had a significant impact on me. I read it a few times.
The main take away for me:
"worry is a symptom of godlessness"
To me, that means the anxiety I feel is derived from self worship.
Acknowledge that you can't do it alone.
Consider finding God.
Focusing on one thing is for robots and losers.
I would even say that it is impossible for humans.
Families
Businesses
Jobs
Friends
Hobbies
Your focus is more like a sprinkler that rotates and waters one section of your lawn at a time allowing the whole yard to thrive.
Dirt on your boots…
That's what I used to call it when I was managing construction projects.
Nobody respected you if you didn't have a little dirt on your boots. The concept applies to all industries.
What have you done to earn your spot on the team?
its a fair question
Even the people you look up to have their bag of bullshit.
We're all just regular people.
And at the same time, we are all capable of extraordinary things.
Time to be the hero.
"Positive outlook"
Definition…
Superpower of top producing sales representatives in any industry, cultivated through stubborn repetitive positive affirmations daily.
Sales is the gateway to money . . .
and you’re gonna need money.
And if you’re going to sell something… Pick something EXPENSIVE.
Like a house.
And if you’re gonna sell houses…
I’m here to help you get started.
What they don't tell you…
The more powerful you become
The more powerful your adversary becomes.
This is so special because it's actually a virtuous cycle.
The infinite game ... and the only path to self-mastery.
The follow up game is often misunderstood…
It's not about making sure they know you're available.
It's about adding massive value whenever you can with no expectation of reciprocity.
Uncomfortable truth:
Nobody can make you feel the way you're feeling.
Nobody can really make you do anything.
Once you take responsibilities for your feelings… You have some control.
And I would use that control to choose happiness.
Entirely up to you.
Sometimes it’s just too soon for an idea.
When that happens, I put it on the back burner and let it simmer, filling the room with wonderful aroma.
Then . . . something shifts and you’ve got ingredients for your next masterpiece.
I'll go first…
That's the secret weapon I used to build long lasting relationships.
I'll be the first one to tell the truth, be vulnerable, and start an open conversation about real things.
By going first… You create a safe space for people to lean in and share who they are.
If you hired somebody recently and you don't have a training program.
You may have just ruined their life.
It's time to take the systems in your business more seriously.
What they don't tell you…
The more powerful you become
The more powerful your adversary becomes.
This is so special because it's actually a virtuous cycle.
The infinite game ... and the only path to self-mastery.
With commitment . . .
You can stare in the face of the unknown and have certainty in the outcome.
Because unwavering commitment exposes weak intentions and washes them away revealing the wisdom that comes from true self discovery.
"the hardest door . . . is the car door"
Said my good friend, as we discussed the challenges of being a door-to-door real estate professional.
It's a great line… And it really sums it up.
Like all beautiful challenges, getting started is the hardest part.
Maybe "winning" is a word used by weak leaders to shortcut the process and create an illusion of arrival.
Bear with me. I'm one of those guys who loves winning.
But can we agree?
It's a false sense of achievement. In business and life there is no end in sight.
Infinit Game
Before you disagree
Take a second and consider what I'm gonna say
"Addiction is actually about being in control"
We want to be able to flip a switch and control our environment
The disciplined individual knows this and avoids anything that looks too easy
Easy Has No Value.
Control freaks build tiny useless things.
If that's you, consider that you might NOT be the smartest person in the room.
That takes the pressure off, doesn't it?
Side benefit: Giving the people around you some space to do their work attracts top talent.
Build something big.
If I gave you exactly what you wanted…
You'd realize that it wasn't what you had in mind and that it didn't meet your expectations.
I think this is universally true.
We're not supposed to get exactly what we want.
Instead...
We're getting exactly what we require to grow.
You are a shock absorber
Not a real estate agent
Before something explodes you dive on the grenade
You know that expectation is the source of all human suffering
And so you scan the horizon and act accordingly
(the "actual" job description)
That "problem" your complaining about…
It's a gift.
It's the uncomfortable feedback required to make a change in your business and or personal life.
Instead of feeling, sorry for yourself… Consider where a solution would lead you.
Becoming a millionaire is not important.
Being the type of person who can earn $1 million is.
That second line… If you could become that… It's not about winning or losing. It's about having what it takes.
Sometimes, we’re so scared of being “pushy” that we forget
the discomfort is actually the fear you have of leading the transaction.
Move past that
Sales is a leadership position
Do what it takes to help your people get what they want and they will thank you for it in the
It might be too early for an idea if you have to push it through.
Some things need to simmer before they're ready to eat.
And if you can become the type of person who knows when something isn't ready…
You increase the value of your time by spending it more wisely.
Intention does not equal completion.
Effort does not equal success.
Goals do not equal arrival.
Environment does not equal potential.
Intention + effort + goal + ideal environment = unstoppable
Nobody starts out front.
And if you did... you're probably feeling the pressure from the pack behind you.
Understand this...
True leaders EMERGE.
And they are dirty from hard work.
I stopped wearing a watch.
Because every single time I check the time while I'm with somebody, I lose just a little bit of their trust and confidence.
Be present to the ones you're with.
Every Luke Skywalker needs a Yoda.
That's because a willingness to do what it takes is NOT the same thing as needing to do it alone.
Your unwillingness to acknowledge the mentors in your life… Doesn't mean they're not there.
Time to start choosing your mentors intentionally.
Give your team permission to screw things up.
They need to hear you say it out loud, and you need to mean it.
They'll learn a lot faster, you'll build a better product, you'll have a more loyal customer base, and you'll make a lot more money.
Cheap things usually cost the most.
Value is a more noble target…
But it's much more about risk assessment and return on investment.
If you can afford it and it makes you money… Who cares how much it costs.
Sometimes I mistakenly confuse systems and processes.
Needed to clarify it in writing this morning and I thought I’d share. 👇🏻
Processes = how we do things
Systems = the tools we use to do things.
If you focus on systems before you define your process …
you often buy
You are not supposed to get what you want.
You’re supposed to learn from the variables in front of you.
And they’re challenging for your benefit, not your detriment.
Time to grow.
Faith . . .
It doesn’t mean believing it will go your way…
It means believing that the outcome, regardless of which way it goes, is what is best for you and the lesson learned from the experience is exactly the one you need right now.
This revelation is the cornerstone of my development this year:
Systems run processes.
A system without a process…
Is like building a house without a blueprint.
Wasteful, chaotic, and expensive.
Keep it simple… And define your processes before you build/acquire systems.
I get it…
The wheel already exists.
However, sometimes I “reinvent the wheel.”
I’ve found, you can learn a lot doing that.
Try not to reinvent the things you’ve already reinvented. Lol.
How about that.
Seems more applicable.
Shiny object syndrome is the death of 90% of small businesses.
Real estate agency is small business ownership.
Don't forget about the customers you already have.
Light speed. Not fast enough.
At least that's what I used to think.
Lately, I've been slowing it down.
I realize the same foot that steps on the gas pedal can also be used for the break.
"time is of the essence" doesn't mean you can't slow it down and consider your options.
I didn't just survive my first year as a real estate agent . . .
I was named “Rookie of the Year” for Keller Williams Realty Boise.
I owe my success to one thing …the open house.
WHY THE OPEN HOUSE?
Here is five reasons:
1. YOU DON’T NEED YOUR OWN LISTINGS:
You get to
4. Schedule next week with your priorities in mind
Time block minutes/hours for each priority.
Do not sacrifice higher priority items for lower priority items.
Why become a real estate agent?
Because you're sick of asking your parents for a handout every time you need something other than groceries.
DM me and I will help you get started in one of the only industries that was built specifically for rich people.
Crashing through obstacles only works a handful of times.
The bruised and broken only win occasionally.
Slow it down
Spend more time in planning
Sustainable progress > instant success
1. Write down all of your roles and responsibilities. I mean every single one…
Father
friend
leader
real estate agent
business development expert
coach
etc.
@theficouple
We focus less on credit score.
Often times high credit means they’ll be moving out soon to buy a house.
References, for us are the secret sauce.
A lot of managers skip that part and it’s a huge mistake.
That's a wrap!

I want to go on record saying this…
If I’m wrong… I will repost this and apologize.
The cost of housing will continue to rise.
Marginal relief from lower interest rates will not create monthly cost comparable to 2019 or earlier.
In fact, higher cost will become the new
@Storage_Venture
I don’t worry about what other people are making.
If I’m making money I’m happy.
In fact, if other people are making money and I’m making money I’m even happier.
We should all try to help the people around us get wealthy and get wealthy in the process.
