Today MPs debated a Bill that could have criminalised parents who try to protect ‘trans-identified’ children from pursuing irreversible medical and surgical interventions. I argued that gender identity theory can’t be defined in law because it’s based on feelings not facts.

@MForstater I have had an extremely terse exchange with our Headmistress regarding the SW version of the Equality Act, being sold to schools through 'inclusion' groups that are not actually SW, but clearly on board at some level. It's embedded quite deeply.

& one’s sex is part of that, but is not proscriptive of identity per se, until it meets the external representations. GD/sex dysphoria is different to this - an internal compulsion. It is very difficult to define & distinguish, and easy to obfuscate, hence the linguistic 3/

OMT - ‘adults in training’ don't understand the freedoms, opportunity & complexity in the world; their terms of reference are limited. 'Transgenderism’ seeks to make capital from that naiveté, as well as many other points of potential weakness. We must all protect the vulnerable.
